| Kind of the eastiest way to write the ending...... Not bad but could have been better. | |

I am still utterly confused The first two season were great tv but after that it went down hill. Sun and Jin's relationship was quite touching, those scenes were quality. |

| What did you expect, did you just want solid answers? Is that what the writers of lost was known to do. Would the story have been better if they did "the island was a alien spaceship that landed a million years ago..." and so on and so on? That would have been weak, and made no sense to me. The writers and producers ended this series the most user friendly way possible. The island was given a much needed ending that also showed the purpose of why they were all brought there. And the flash-sideways sequence still gave the happy ending but told in a very elliptical sense. The gaps was left here so you could process and interpret it the way you see it. Many great works of literature ends this way. The ending to this series gave answers and debate. I could give you my viewpoint, but that doesn't mean its right, and it shouldn't affect the way you view it either. A very underlining theme in Lost was Faith, so it makes sense to me that they would end it on leaving it up to what you believe. - killerofchicken wrote:

I disagree with this. The ending only showed what the writers viewpoint was, not yours.

| I am just left feeling disappointed, they totally abandoned all the mysterious things that created the buzz about the show. No explanations about Darma, the ancient statues and what happened to all the other extras who suddenly disappeared in the last couple episodes.
The writers basically copped out with a safe ending, when most of us wanted our minds blown. It's even more annoying when I have invested time in the show. |

The Dharma Initiative was a scientific group that came to the island to study all its unique qualities. Benjamin Linus's father was hired as a janitor for the Dharma initiative, and they both came to live on the island that way. When Ben got older, he chose to side with the islands original inhabitants and killed everyone in the Dharma Initiative, including his father. The island had been there for a long time, and many different civilizations had found themselves there. And if you are referring to the ancient statue that the only thing left was a foot. That was a statue of a creature similar to Anubis to scare and keep people away from the island. Temples and statues are not an uncommon thing for man to make. What extras are you talking about?

| One thing that did bother me as why professor Daniel disappeared ? Where were Walt and Michael for the church gathering ?
Maybe I need time to digest the finale, it all just threw me off. |

Maybe I need time to digest the finale, it all just threw me off. are you talking about Daniel Faraday? He didnt disappear. Michael can't leave the island.. he explained about the whispers on the island and said something like the "whispers are of the people who can never leave" in one of the episodes in the last season.. and Walt wasn't ready perhaps, much like Ana Lucia wasn't apart of the Church reuniting either but still had a role in getting Desmond, Kate, and Sayid free.
