Why fighters have the "dumb jock" reputation attached to their personas, I'll never know. One of the best authors I've ever had the pleasure of reading was, former Light heavyweight champ, Jose Torres. Larry Holmes, a good business man? I guess so. He owns a whole town. I won't go far, however our sport has some really bright guys that don't get the attention they deserve because of stereotyping. Hopefully, you guys can name some Ko artists who also happen to be masterminds.

Mr. T was a boxer and look what he accomplished

Foreman, Dempsey, TUnney, and Oscar are all good examples by Dmar

Max Schmelling got rich off of coca cola

Ray Robinson was extremely smart (or hard headed however you look at it ) when negotiating and one of the first fighters to demand money from the theaters

i personally think that muhammad ali had a brilliant personality inside and out of the boxing ring. i couldnt tell you how book smart he was but he definitely was a genius at getting people to follow him and hate him.
