this is a guy that would balloon up to 200 when he fought at 168 James was never really a true middle or supermiddle. A good portion of his early career was spent drying himself out something nasty. He was a 200 pound athlete in high school that was urged to constantly kill himself to make 160 for his boxing career.. His career, IMO, should have started at 175. If Dana, or any other Buffalo Wild Wings MMA meatball-type try to play a Randy win over James as some huge victory for MMA over boxing, they are complete and utter morons. James is nearly irrelevant in his own sport. What does a win over him in a cage prove? Pretty much nothing. I completely agree that this is somewhat of a dumb move by Dana. He has far more to lose than to gain in making this matchup. One thing James can do is sharpshoot. Very much a pinpoint counterpuncher. It's MMA, anything can happen when you got a guy that can punch like James can. I personally think he's gonna get smashed but I will be rooting for James for one reason only....I want Dana White and every other tool that doesn't seem to think boxing and MMA can peacefully co-exist to look like a goddamned fool. I have always been a bigger boxing fan and I always will be; it's embedded in my DNA. But I like MMA very much as well. People on both sides that run their mouth annoy the hell out of me. Both sports have their good and bad points and don't deserve being shit on. There's enough limpwristed pansies out there that shit on both sports because they are "too barbaric and violent". They are doing their best to marginalize the sports. We don't need to be cutting each others' throats as well.

| Yeah here's the thing though bro
Randy dominates Toney, it doesn't really hurt Boxing as most know Toney;s at the end of his career.
Toney KO's Randy, well that just opens up a whole new shit storm

| I'll be rooting for Toney as well because it will be hilarious karmic justice to Dana for making this fight. He's constantly telling us how Randy is still a top flight LHW and how he was in line for a title shot after beating Coleman and now he's fighting James Toney? Say what? | |

Toney KO's Randy, well that just opens up a whole new shit storm If people could possibly look at it like adults, they could see it as one fighter's strengths beating another fighter. James got to Randy before Randy got to James....or vice-versa. There's no reason to throw the "AHAHAHAHAHA...my sport is better DERRRR HERRUURRRRRR!!!!" crap out there. I know it's a virtual impossibility for people to look at it in a rational manner. Hell, even I to a certain extent want a guilty pleasure of the very arrogant Dana White getting it rammed up his moon. I just won't be a overly-vocal douche about it.

If it were in a cage, he would be allowed to.

Because RJJ didn't bust down the door for three years trying to get Dana to give him a fight.

| This is going to be a lesson fight. Randy is going to teach Toney the concept of the clinch in an MMA situation. Then he is going to show him how take downs work. Then their will be an example of GNP. Not enough to finish the fight in the first, just enough for Toney to realize he is in the wrong fucking sport. DW, who actually has a good relationship with both combatants, will whisper to Randy's corner, that Randy needs to end it quickly in the 2nd, because now it just looks like torture and the UFC looks just fucking mean. So as the 2nd begins Randy decides to give one more example. Using the force, energy shoots from Randy's fingers and encompasses all of Toney's body and he taps out due to submission of electrical discharges from a now fully revealed Dark Lord of the Sith! | |

| As soon as Randy gets the fight to the ground it's over but the problem is if Toney lands first before Randy can get ahold of Toney. I don't know what's gonna happen but I'm scared shitless. I might literally cry if Toney wins that fight and I'm nowhere near a big Randy fan. | |

| I can see Randy getting caught and rocked by a punch in the clinch. I can also see him shooting and GnPing his way to a TKO. I wish they would give him a guy like Vera who is a good wrestler and has sick Muay Thai skills. | |

BBC, you are smoking something and not fucking sharing! You can see a Greco-Roman Wrestling Champion getting caught in the clinch by a fucking boxer? That has got to be the dumbest thing I have seen you type.

| Andrew, you overrate Couture do to a disgusting degree though. We all know that. You still think he can compete with the best LHWs in the UFC when in reality he would get knocked out by all of them | |

I can see them up against the cage and Toney hitting Randy behind the ear or chin and rocking him. Not sure what you are thinking. It can happen.

| eye for an eye. Saying I can see and It will happen are two different things. No need for the neg when you can just argue a point. Neither of us are wrong because it is speculation on both parts. Either way I have to bang ur mom for this outrage! | |

| IT ISN'T SPECULATION! He is a Greco-Roman Wrestling Champion. Where do they learn to fight? The clinch. If it was a boxing match I would bet the fucking house on Toney, but it isn't and Toney isn't much younger than Randy. I give Randy credit, because even when he does that boring ass clinch and lean, then throws in dirty boxing, it is still part of the rules. His greatest strength is his clinch work, because it saps strength, time, and momentum from his opponent. If he was fighting Fedor, Lyota, Rua, Shad, or any other number LHW, I would not choose him to win. Am I a fan? Yes, but I am not being unfucking realistic. All Toney has is a punchers chance and if you think otherwise you are seriously pushing for complete retardation. | |

Drew what I said is about the same as me saying Toney has a 10% chance to win the fight. That is how I feel. It could happen, but it probably won't. Fair?
