| Can't find LTFG thread and I can't stand listening to Rome when he isn't doing interviews. If he hasn't come on yet could someone give me a heads up to when he will so I can switch it over for the interview? | |

| His whole deal now is sound clips, inside jokes, and pseudo-intellectual psycho-babel. I hardly ever give this guy time anymore. But at the same time am grateful for his willingness to bring MMA to the table. | |

Listening today as he's announcing the Smack Off field for Friday. He just interviewed Craig Robinson and he referenced it as it wrapped up. As soon as he gives a time, I'll update...

Bingo... The day he dropped his old producer for the new guy, the show as a whole went into the toilet. He used to criticize talk shows that took a lot of calls as doing so out of necessity since they didn't prepare well. IMO, that's exactly what dropping 10 minute stretches of sound bites is. And now he's becoming a much bigger sell out than he used to be with the Facebook and Twitter crap that he's adding as well. Still love many of the interviews, the MMA support and the good callers... But most of those callers have moved on since I think they feel the same as us about the show...

| wow Dana said Shields "probably" in the UFC now. Also claims Mayhem was sent in the ring by Strikeforce to help bring back the hype lost when Hendo went down. | |

| Makes no sense sending Mayhem in there if you're SF. IMO, Jake winning made SF look better than if Hendo would've won. Just Dana talking out of his ass. | |

| I agree with his comments on Showtime boxing, Gus and the show as a whole. Disagree with his thoughts on Strikeforce's place in MMA, but agree that the UFC has done a TON more to grow MMA. Real bold comments about Strikeforce sending Mayhem in the cage to stir trouble in hopes to keep Shields... Gotta have proof or stones to suggest that. Really looking forward to the Aldo-Faber fight! | |

| Gotta say one thing after that as well... When Dana was going off on Strikeforce for throwing all of their eggs in one basket by giving Hendo the huge money and expecting him to walk through Shields and Mousasi... It made Dana look a hell of a lot smarter for not re-signing him. Dana was right in that Hendo did look old and pedestrian Saturday night. I hope he has more for his next fight, but you KNOW Strikeforce was expecting him to be their signature guy... | |

I think he was right about his statement that fighters can age over night and Dan looked old on Saturday. Not sure if the weight cut made him look older but he looked old.

| We won't know if SF sent Mayhem in there until he tells us about it in a few years. I can see why they would do it, but who knows for sure? It would suck to see the big signee lose to a guy that you had been dogging and thought you may be losing. A good company would have thought it out and had a plan for a "What if our new guy loses?" Makes me wonder for sure. | |

| I disagree with the statement that Dan looked old against Jake. He sure as hell didn't look old in the first round lol. I honestly think Dan overlooked Jake and didn't come in with good cardio thinking he was gonna finish him as soon as he touched Jake's face and he almost did. | |

| I love Dana's comment about signing Jake Shields. Rome: "So does that mean Jake Shields will now be in the UFC" Dana: "Probably(laughs)....probably" | |

Also claims Mayhem was sent in the ring by Strikeforce to help bring back the hype lost when Hendo went down. I dunno if thats right .. I think they were trying to keep Shields in SF .. not to bring back hype with the hendo lost.. I see it that there plan probably was: If Hendo won: UFC might have not sign Shields If Shields won: Send in mayhem to try and piss him off and stay to fight miller.

| Yeah not the best tactic, though they weren't doing that anyways. Sheilds actually had a close fight with Mayhem, but he did win, and now all the UFC has to do is match SF, maybe not even, I mean I'm Jake Sheilds, Mayhem or GSP? | |

| I don't buy Strikeforce sending Mayhem in for a second. That's just typical Dana BS. There is no proof as well it not making any sense for them to do something like that. They know it's going to be mostly about money, you can't goad somebody to stay with Mayhem Miller asking for a rematch. Fact is, Mayhem has been fuckin with Shields for months trashing him in interviews and trolling his twitter...i doubt he needed anybody pushing him out on stage to go attempt to steal his shine on national tv. It's Mayhem afterall....
and if you saw the staph infection Shields gave Miller...you would understand why Miller hates him.
