He should've let go. A fighter has the option to tap in order to save himself from injury. Any fighter who is applying a submission should be aware of whether his opponent is tapping out. Sometimes, a tapout isn't clear, however, in this situation Drwal made it painfully clear that he was tapping. Drwal was trying to avoid devastating injury by tapping, Palhares ignored it. I think the suspension is justified.

Next time Palhares will be more aware of his opponent.

no he wont, this is at least the 3rd time that he has done this, once with a RNC and another time with a leg lock

Well you may be right. That's what the suspension is designed to do I suppose. Maybe with a repeat offender they should start hitting his purse.

I think he deserving of his suspension. Leglocks of any kind could easily end a fighters career. That's why in most BJJ academies they ban the use of them. They are not comparable to chokes.

gotta agree, I remember in the old days when I was learning leg locks, (they didnt want kids trying to roll out) they basically told us, if you get put in this position, TAP , dont risk tearing your knee and ankles up.

I havent seen what happened so I cant weigh in on it until I do.
