I htought COleman could wrestle with Randy I still think you're right. Coleman should not have gone and worked with Tomkins. Tompkins being Randy's long time striking coach knows how slow Randy has become, vulnerable he is to KO's at this point, and how in love with his boxing he is. But he over estimated Coleman's ability to capitalize on it.
Still, Coleman did hurt Randy with one of his slow motion punches. The strategy almost payed off.
Randy please retire. You're going to get seriously hurt playing with these youngsters much longer. Randy was never close to even being dropped. He may be old and slow and more vulnerably, but Coleman is all that and then some. The only possible department Coleman had over Randy was wrestling. If he could have put Randy on his back then who knows what would have happened.

Why? They have 0 depth at both WW and MW, I'm sure they can find some use for the guy.

| Strikeforce has hella depth at MW. It is by far their best division.
As much as the UFC actually. Maybe not on a skill level, but even then they are close.
Sheilds, Hendo, Miller, Jacare, Le, Shamrock, Smith, Lalwer, Manhoef, Villasenor, Cyborg, Kennedy immediately pop to mind.

Even so they don't have any WW depth and Frank could fight at either WC or even catchweight like Nick did.

| Anyway Strikeforce has shown that they don't sign guys like this that the UFC cuts immediately, which is good because while it does keep them from getting quality fighters, it eliminates the perception that Strikeforce just picks up hacks that couldn't hang in the UFC. There are some obvious exceptons, for instance if they are still top ten caliber like Fabricio Werdum. Another quality young HW like Tim Haugue might interest Strikeforce though.
MFC has probably already called all of them.

ahh not impressed. Strikeforce HW divison is obviously better quality(atleast at top). LW in DREAM is pretty good. Don't feel like looking shit up. Strikeforce MW is nothing special by any means which is proof with Mayhem and Sheilds fighting for the title. Jake is obviously a WW and wouldn't be a top 10 MW in UFC.

| Mayhem would be a top ten MW in the UFC easily. So could Sheilds, don't over value the UFC simply because it's the UFC. | |

I disagree, Sheilds can't hang with most MW IMO. He is maybe a top 5 WW, hard to tell how he would do vs Kos, Fitch and Alves without putting him in the cage with them. I think Sonnen, Marquart, Vitor, Okami, Maia, Anderson, Bisping, Wandy, Akiyama and even Munoz would beat Mayhem.

pfff, I would love to see it. He would get raped by the top 5 in the UFC. Am I wrong or didn't Mayhem lose to Trigg?

| Am I wrong or wasn't Trigg a top ten ranked MW by every respectable publication then?
He also beat Misaki in that same period, who wasn't even a year removed from a win over Hendo.
Also, Tim, Wandy and Chuck were still champions when that fight went down.
bad, bad MMA math broham.

bad, bad MMA math broham. OK I'll give you the Trigg win being a cool as min ago, but the top 5 UFC would still rape Mayhem. Hendo would rape Mayhem today as well. I still say every single fighter I listed beats that bum. I can't stand the guy so my view might be slightly skewed but not that bad. I think your giving him too much cred right now.

| His Pride and UFC record is 4-5. 2-5 UFC but the original three losses came to Hughes in two title fights and against GSP. Losing to the two greatest WW's ever in their primes isn't a knock on Trigg in my book.
Basing an opinion solely off the numbers is very misleading.
