Matt Mitrione vs Tim Hague

Heavyweights Matt Mitrione and Tim Hague are expected to meet on the UFC's yet-to-be-announced Jan. 22 card.

Sources close to the fight confirmed the news on Sunday, saying both fighters have agreed to the matchup and have signed bout agreements.

Hague may have recorded the best win of his career over Wiuff and certainly belongs back in the UFC. Good fight for Meathead. For as much as we've hated on TUF 10, it has produced 4 viable UFC HW's in Shaub, Nelson, Meat and Madsen.

imo matt should step up to someone like nelson. he has done good so far. imo tim is a step down in comp for him. the hw division is currently stacked and even a guy like rothwell or madsen would do good for his career

Matt has 3 career fights and he should fight Roy Nelson? Tim is just the kind of guy he should be fighting. Tim might even end up a slight betting favorite.

i just think he showed alot in his figh against joey thats why. remember joey did beat tim but this isnt about mmath , it about the level of comp he has beaten regardless of his fight record. imo roy would beat him however it still a step up in comp. a fight against tim would be a step down or boderline in the division

A guy with three fights doesn't need to step up in competition significantly fight in fight out. Especially to a guy with top fiveish talent in the UFC like Nelson.

Yeah dfe not Nelson, but what about Schaub?

That would be good too, but I think Shaub would be the one looking to step up in competition at this point.

So you want Nelson to go from fighting Carwin to Meathead?

I don't even think Nelson would take that fight at this point. If he did anything but smash Meat's face in in the first round, it would be seen as a step backward.

1 year after Duffee vs. Hague. Duffee is unemployed and Hague is back in the UFC. I didnt see that one coming.

Did you see Hague's fight against TUF 10's Zak Jensen? He took an inhuman beatdown, survived somehow in numerous situations on the cusp of a stoppage, and KO'd him cold with one knee.

He was also getting an ass whooping the size of Texas from Pat Barry and then got him down and Barry showed an absolutely putrid knowledge of the ground game lol
