Mike Swick

What's next for him? Does anyone think he will ever contend for the title?

Personally, I think people have figured him out. He can't bum rush people anymore because opponents expect it from him. I think he's going to be a career gatekeeper at 170. There's nothing wrong with that IMO, I'm just curious as to what other people think.

Give him Frank Trigg.

Yeah, im kinda losin faith in my boy Mike, but I think he can pull it through. He just needs a new gameplan because he definately has some skills that are there.

I think Trigg should retire, he's just not good anymore. Unless he's hurting for money I don't see why he would want to get in the cage again considering the way he's been KO'd lately.

He has skills but every one does in the UFC. The WW division is so stacked, I just don't see Swick ever challenging for a title. He'll probably get a nice win here and there throughout his career but other than that I think he'll be a stepping stone.

He has this problem where he has a reach advantage over just about everyone, yet doesn't know how to use it. He needs to get in the gym and really work on throwing a good jab and work on some good foot movement to keep him outside of his opponents' range. He's got plenty of talent and athleticism, he just needs to really concentrate on his technique.

Let me re-phrase my statement lol.

He has skills that are there that are better than most.

I dont think he matches up well with alot of the WW's though, I do agree.

I think Heiron would be close, and I believe he would beat Riggs pretty easily.

Swick would be champ in Strikeforce.

I think Swick would own SF. The WW is just that deep in the UFC.

I'd like to see Swick get the winner of Diaz-Markham.

Swick would be the 2nd best WW in SF, he'd probably get beat by Nick, but it'd be closer than some of u are making it seem.

Swick vs. Diaz would be a great fight IMO. I don't see Swick leaving the UFC, though.

It's not like Swick has lost to bad fighters. He just hasn't looked tip top. After this second loss I would rank him at # 10.

I admit I'm a fan, but I think I'm fairly objective anyways. Nick owns him standing or on the ground. Nick has a great chin, Swick doesn't have the power. He has nice speed and reach but so does Nick but Nick has more pop on his punch IMO. I think Nick owns him wherever the fight goes, like I said I just think it's a bad matchup for Swick.
