- GSP, BJ Penn, Hughes, above him RIGHT know IMO
He is 4, and above Anderson Silva, Shamrock, Gracie, Miletich, behind him so 3 or 4 spot IMO
I mean, wins over Vitor, Tito, Chuck, Randleman, and the lsit goes on and on he is one of their top 5 ever easily IMO Why behind GSP but above Anderson? A good question, I almost didnt rank GSp over him, the fact taht 2 of Randys title wins had no defenses didnt help. I just think GSP with the 2 title reigns is slightly above Randy and I wont argue with anyone that has Randy over GSP

| He's at the tail end of my top 5. If the criteria for this ranking is purely who is the greatest fighter I just can't justify putting Royce in the top 5. If we're talking about all time greats because of what they did for the sport and how they dominated their time...I'd probably have Royce close to the top.
1. GSP 2. Anderson 3. Hughes 4. Chuck 5. Randy
I could probably put Penn at 5 and Randy at 6 also, they are almost interchangable for me. In the unlikely event that Randy makes a run and wins the LHW belt again then he will move up this list, maybe even to number 1.

As far as true ability and domination of his weight classes... I love Randy, but I'd have a hard time making a strong case to get him oin the top-5. I think the question, as it is posted, is far too generic to easily answer, which leads me to agree with LikesToFightGuy. Top 6, as far as ranking fighters with most impressive wins and significant losses, I think are Anderson Silva, Chuck Liddell, Matt Hughes, BJ Penn..... I guess here is where I'd put Randy. Royce, Miletich, Frank Shamrock, and all those other fighters who were in it earlier come after my first five because most of my first six were in it back when they were, or shortly after, and have kept fighting for UFC for long after and still did well. What's confusing about, Where does Randy rank in the all-time UFC fighters rankings? what else could I be asking, if I was askingon pure talent, I would have said so.

Yes he is a weirdo with a pornostar wife who says a lot of strange shit, but that doesn't take away his in-cage heroics anymore than all the nonsense Hughes has said takes away his. Both get underrated by analyists and fans because they dislike them personally, and that's unfortunate. Frank Shamrock??

My list is weighted toward LHW fighters because of the history of the divison.
1. Anderson - undefeated in the Octagon, best striker in history, holds consecutive wins record and will soon have title defense record. Best ever. Period. 2. Liddell - Helped bring MMA from the dark ages to the big stages. One of the most feared strikers ever. 3. Royce Gracie - MMA's Otto Graham. Has to be included on these lists out of respect. 4. Randy - ^^^ 5. Tito. - because I said so. Defense record for LHW, most storied division ever. 6. Hughes - The most dominant WW of all time, wins over Penn and GSP. 7. GSP - He will eventually over take Hughes though. 8. BJ Penn - He'll eventually be higher too. 9. Frank Shamrock - He should be higher but the UFC hype machine has made us all forget about everything he did.10. Mark Coleman - Ground + pound = your face / hamburger. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOo Its true and I hate it DOnt forget man hes top 3!, wouldve set that defense record alot higher if UFC had the money

Tito on the other hand doesn't and pretty much only you rank him that high. Look at Tito's resume. The Wand win is the only one that is impressive. Beating Tanner & Metzger isn't bad. Beating Belfort is nice. The whole Shamrock saga was pathetic. And the narrow win early in Forrest's career was solid. While overall Tito has had a great career and will be in the UFC HOF, but he is not a top 5 UFC champ of all time and not above Couture. Child please. Wand is the only impressive win? Do you force yourself to think this way or is this your subconscious mutilating any form of rational thinking.

What's confusing about, Where does Randy rank in the all-time UFC fighters rankings? what else could I be asking, if I was askingon pure talent, I would have said so. I didn't mean to offend you. I never said I was confused. There are a lot of different ways that we could rank all-time best fighters because the sport has evolved greatly from what it used to be. A lot of people say that Royce Gracie is the greatest of all-time, and if we're talking about the fighter who made the biggest contribution to the sport, then I would agree with those people. That would be one way of ranking all-time greats. Another would be, who was the greatest of all-time for attracting fans, for which I could easily put Chuck Liddell at the top. And, the list goes on. So, sorry if I offended you, which I didn't mean to do, but the question truly is generic or non-specific..... sorry.

| Tito has a bunch of great wins and if not for an over zealous deduction would also hold one over Rashad. I don't know you're anything other than deranged and out of left feild.
UFC/Pride champions and tournament winners Tito holds wins over - Ken Shamrock(once when Ken was good, two more when he had faded), Wanderlei Silva, Evan Tanner, Vitor Belfort, Forrest Griffin, Guy Mezger and Jerry Bohlander(9-2 when he fought Ortiz, and like it or not one of the best at the time)
These all count as great wins. You have to stretch and reach and do a lot of deviant manipulation to rob him of them.
Also good quality wins come in the form of Vladimir Matyushenko, Yuki Kondo and Patrick Cote.
He has almost no gimmies in his record.
Beyond that, he has fought the last two LHW champions before Machida competitively in 2007 and 2009, suffering a draw and a split decision loss that Forrest wasn't sure he won.
The fact he has been competitive at a high level from before the darkages, carried the sport through them, and remained a high level competitor even now into modern times speaks to his talent.
