| http://www.bloodyelbow.com/2010/1/16/1255044/forrest-griffin-and-antonioThe winner of this fight immediately posititions themselves as a title contender. While Forrest has two knockout losses since he upset Quinton Jackson in a razor thin split decision to wrest the LHW title away from Rampage, a victory over the still game Tito Ortiz and then highly ranked Little Nog, two of the great LHW's of the last decade, it would be hard to find another fighter who would deserve it more at this stage. If Nogueira can defeat the former LHW champion and TUF winner, not only would that set him up to face the winner of Rua/Machida(and Ed Soras has said Machida and Minotoro would fight if they had to) but it would also deal another blow to the UFC side in the age old UFC/Pride debate. Nogueira wins via TKO round 2. | |

| Lil Nog is gonna school Forrest, I have Lil Nog as my 5th best LHW (not including Anderson), Machida, Shogun, Page, Shad, Lil Nog, but think he could beat Shad or Page, and have close fights with Machida and Shogun. Forrest would have been better off with Franklin | |

| Agreed LA, but we've thought this before when it comes to Pride stars ranked higher than him, haven't we? | |

| Forrest has a huge problem getting out of the way of punches lol. Lil Nog ends this fight with a 2nd round TKO. | |

| no doubt wolf i mean forrest is an elite athelete in a atheletic competition, I give forrest a small but realistic chance of controlling this fight with distance and movement and lots of leg kicks. | |

| By rights, Shogun and Rampage should have ruined Forrest, and neither did. To declare this an open and shut case after dominating Rashad until his come from behind knockout and the Silva loss is a bit reactionary. Silva does that to almost everyone. He would have done that to any Chuck Liddell that has ever taken the cage.
Forrest is coming off a good win over Ortiz, and should realize a win over Nogueira would place him back into title contention immediately.

| He won every round convincingly. Dominating, maybe, maybe not. Clearly in control? Absolutely. | |

Yeah he has a chance but wolf said he was clearly beating Rashad when Rashad knocked him out and I say no he wasnt the fight was close.

| Ur right the fight was alittle while ago but they show it on unleashed all the time. The fight wasnt a blowout by no means and although Forrest may have been winning it wasnt no where near a done deal that he would have gotten a decision. Although it doesnt matter either way cause rashad KO his ass lol. | |

| I think a lot of people are counting Forrest out. He's got the length and size to give Nog trouble. I think we see relatively even boxing match, similar to Randy and Nog standing, with Nog out pointing Forrest. | |

| Good breakdown, but Nog probably has the best strict boxing in the division right now with good speed and power. Not sure Forrest can handle that for three rounds. He will have to keep the fight on the outside and use leg kicks smartly. Nog is so well rounded in his game though that takedowns are a big risk here as well for Forrest.
This is an uphill battle.

This is an uphill battle. I agree Nog's boxing it top notch, but I don't think he's much faster than Forrest, plus he's smaller. I can see Forrest leaning on him some and trying to wear Nog down.

| I think Nog is a lot faster. Nog also spars with much higher level guys and even if they were even physically he would know how to get in there and be more effective. He trains with Machida and Anderson and you can see how it's helped him up his game.
Muay Thai wise he is much better than he was in Pride. The new Nogueira I think would have beaten a lot of the guys he lost to in Pride. He is better than ever.

| Nog just destroyed an excellent striker standing, Forrest looked sloppy as hell against a shitty striker in Tito, Forrest's only xhance is due to his heart.
Also think Nog is coming off an injury (broken ankle?), that could help
