| In light of that it is no wonder they want Faber on PPV. | |

| This is in relation to the last WEC, which was counter promoted by a Strikeforce event with a lot more star power too. That has to factor into this. | |

| If showing Faber's star power, it also shows that counter programming does hurt Zuffa cards. | |

Are you saying SF had more star power of the most recent WEC had more than the one before? Because both are true.

| I don't know what your sentence means farmer but what I was saying is the last WEC had no star power and Sunday's did, while the Strikeforce one had at least more than the Carrone Ratcliff one, and that explains the ratings numbers. | |

| Yeah that Cerrone card was shwag compared to WEC 46 which featured Faber, MTB as well as the LW Title fight, not to mention the counter programming, but with the counter-pro you know what the number were for both events?
SF Evolution - 341,000
WEC 45 - 330,000
Woah 11,000 more veiwers vs. that shit WEC card.

Woah 11,000 more veiwers vs. that shit WEC card. You can't really compare. Showtime is a premium cable station. They have 12 million subscribers. Even without DirectTV, Versus is available in 75 million homes. So, the numbers are very much different in measuring success. Strikeforce numbers were a success and Showtime was happy with them. WEC's numbers were the shits considering 63 million MORE homes have access to watch WEC. Also, that WEC card was not bad.

| Looks SF needs to make the jump from premium channel to regular cable one or get more CBS shows. | |

Also, that WEC card was not bad. Noted, I understood this, but that's not that impressive a viewership for Evolution. Also that card was weak as shit compared to Evolution or say WEC 46 MAIN CARD * Donald Cerrone vs. Ed Ratcliff * Chris Horodecki vs. Anthony Njokuani * Joseph Benavidez vs. Rani Yahya * Scott Jorgensen vs. Takeya Mizugaki PRELIMINARY CARD * Bart Palaszewski vs. Anthony Pettis * Muhsin Corbbrey vs. Zach Micklewright * Chad George vs. John Hosman * Tyler Toner vs. Brandon Visher * Kyle Dietz vs. Brad Pickett * Erik Koch vs. Jameel Massouh

| I meant the WEC card was of good quality.
As far as drawing power..Strikeforce did not have much themselves. Cung Le is considered a big draw for the live attendance in San Jose and they got that. He's never really proven to be a huge draw nationally to where he's going to draw in a bigger rating than the usual Strikeforce/Showtime card should get. Guys like Jacare and King Mo are popular outside the U.S and to more avid MMA fans like us but not so much in the U.S yet. Gil and Josh are probably only slightly more well known than Don Cerrone. So it had more drawing power than WEC and i think if it was countering on a station with the availability of WEC it would have been much bigger margin but their rating was pretty good head to head. Not even the Kimbo cards on Showtime did better than 600k on average and he's the biggest draw in the sport as sad as it is.

| Cung Le is a pretty big draw, or at least certianly more so than Cerrone, plus you had a Title fight, WEC 45 on the other hand was one of the weakest WEC events I can remember.
And Brock is the biggest draw in MMA as sad as it is.

| I guess Brock because he gets the buyrates but as far as TV goes, Kimbo makes up about half of the top ten most watched MMA cards of all time, including the most watched. It will be interesting to see how Kimbo's first UFC PPV appearance will do for their buyrates. | |

| Brock hasn't been on TV yet, so it's difficult to say what he'd do, but I think his numbers would beat Kimbo's, I'd be interesting.
As far as his first PPV appearance, it'll probably increase the numbers a bit, I'd throw him on an already really stacked card just to see if they could come close to 2 mill.
Brock vs. Kimbo most watched fight in MMA histroy, haha
