| I'm watching the Kings-Magic game on local TV and Urijah Faber was just talking to the sideline reporter saying that they are working on a title fight..most likely on PPV....and he's trying to get it in Sacramento. | |

| They better throw some UFC fights on that card then
Also kind of sick of Faber getting the hometown fights, no other fighter enjoys as many fights in his hometown as Faber.

Also kind of sick of Faber getting the hometown fights, no other fighter enjoys as many fights in his hometown as Faber. I agree about Faber always getting the hometown treatment. I would say Cung Le and Frank Shamrock get equal hometown fights as Faber. I think WEC can do some good numbers on PPV. They would have to blow their entire load though. Aldo-Faber Bowles-Torres II I can also see this as UFC probably sucking in WEC and just slapping their brand name on it. It would instantly do better as UFC presents rather than WEC presents with just WEC fighters.

| Well yeah, if they goes balls out then it'll do faily well, still think this would be a good opportunity to put some WEC and UFC fights on a card together, but I'm also one of the biggest proponents for the merger so... | |

| I just can't see a WEC PPV doing well. It needs the UFC brand. | |

| If Zuffa promoted it on Spike and the same way they promote a UFC event then it would do good but not stellar numbers I'd think, however if they just stuck the UFC brand on it and gave it a co headliner from the UFC, it would do a lot better.
The merger I think is happening. The UFC knew they couldn't keep Faber at his old contract of 17 K and WEC's current model doesn't make enough cash to pay UFC dollars, which is what Faber deserves.

| It's not like Faber gets hometown fights because he wants them...he gets them because they want a sold out arena. Faber puts asses in seats, especially in his hometown. He's the Cali Kid for pete's sake!
The only place I'd prefer him to fight other than Sacramento is Houston so I could see it live.

| And I agree there is and needs to be a merger. I will for sure miss the free cards on VS but I think we will see more free Spike cards come out of a merger. A WEC PPV is not going to sell well because as a brand it is shit compared to the UFC. | |

| If the UFC promotes and makes it known the WEC essentially is the UFC the brand wouldn't matter quite as much, but I think it would take a while, several shows, for the WEC to be built up enough on PPV to do numbers similar to the UFC's, when it would just be easier to just call it a UFC PPV and change the color on the cage from blue to grey. | |

I would pay for that fight card for sure I think I would 2 but still not 100 percent sure about it. Maybe for 30 bucks instead of 45.

| The WEC would be out of fights for three months if they did that. | |
