| Why on earth would you give it to Frankie when he straight up got beat by Maynard? Gray is on a 7 fight win streak. | |

| Just feed Frankie to Penn and let Maynard develop some more. | |

That is the only reasoning that makes sense to me.

| Frankie has beaten better fighters, and looks better at this point.
I've posted this before, leading up to, during and after Frankie's fight with Gray he was shooting a True Life special for MTV, then he got married like the day after or two days after the fight, distractions much?. I think Frankie would beat Gray in a rematch.

That is the only reasoning that makes sense to me. Exactly what I would do and why I would do it. Maynard has the better shot against Penn imo. He wouldn't box him the whole time, and if he was able to somehow use his takedowns to tire him out, his boxing would be a whole lot better. BJ's boxing late in the GSP fight was horse shit, and Hughes was landing at will on him come the third round. BJ still has possible chinks in the armor, and no one besides the lanky Kenflo has tried to exploit them at LW.

| I like Gray and Frankie neither touches BJ
Gray vs Penn would be a severe mismatch
can I say one thing I believe BJ is going 5 every fight, these other guys are going 3 they get in vs BJ and are basically done vs BJ and sink in the Championship rounds
Plus the fact BJ is better in the stand up than all of them and they cant take him down

| I think Gray has a better chance. Edgar is just going to stand and get his ass kicked. He has good hands but they obviously aren't at BJ's level. Atleast Maynard has the off chance of trying to use his size and strength to wear BJ out going for takedowns | |

| A) Wolf stop bragging about Maynards boxing like it's the best you've ever seen. His boxing at this point is decent, he is still pretty sloppy and a good counter striker would light him up. B) If Gray didn't want to take Nate Diaz down because of his bjj, then why would he wnat to mess around on the ground with Bj fucking Penn. And as good as Grays's wrestling is, he wont be able to take Bj down. He is not gsp. Bj finishes Gray within 2 rounds by however he wants. | |

| 1. I would pick Penn in the fight as a heavy favourite too. I am simply laying out how and why Gray of all the UFC lightweights has the largest small chance to beat him. 2. By all fucking means show me where I said his boxing was anything other than "decent by mma standards" or "waaay better than diaz". Don't put words in my mouth and I won't put my balls in yours. 3. Gray wasn't worried about his BJJ as much as more interested in taking his head off and proving a point imo. Gray has turned into a standup fighter in all his recent fights.
Oggy be chill, we don't want another repeat of your antics in the jets thread do we?

| maybe have edgar and maynard fight penn at the same time. that's the only way either have a chance to beat penn at LW.

| Ya, I was way wrong when I said unless the Jets establish the run early Sanchez is a turn over machine, or when I said the AFC, who only had two really great teams this year and featured both total stink jobs from the Pats and Steelers, is having a down year. And that is why everyone else agreed with you and not me...oh wait they didn't.
Where Oggy is totally rational and worth talking to on MMA, he becomes an irrational fruitcake in full assclown status once the conversation turns to why the Jets might not be the best team ever, or why rap isn't exactly genius music. Don't take shit personal oggers.
The Jets might actually win this weekend though, because the Colts are totally out of rhythm and it seems Caldwell shut them down on purpose at the end of the year to prove a point when Manning wanted to win all 16.
PS Maynard will develop into one of the better boxers in the division in the coming years. Who ever teaches boxing at Couture has mastered the way to turn wrestlers into great boxers.

| dude im a die hard jets fan what do you expect? And We're playing the Chargers not the Colts. I'll take my chances with Philip Rivers over Peyton anyday, but it's gonna be a tough game. I think we have a shot, but our defense will need to be at it's best, not like last week. I do think we will be able to run the ball successfully though. And im pretty sure Gray doesn't even train his boxing at xtreme couture. I watched something on youtube where he was training at a pure boxing gym. And i dont take it personally i just like arguing with you. | |

| Ah ya the chargers. I haven't seen any of their games since early in the year so I don't know much about them this season. But I think matchup wise, the Colts are worse than the Chargers for sure, because I think they can shut off LT and the rest of the running game, and force Rivers who isn't as good as manning to throw to recievers who Revis will eat alive.
You wanna keep arguing on this head back to the jets thread tho, I just posted again.

| I think Gates is going to pose some major matchup problems for the Jets.
Not to mention all of San Diego's receivers are 6'3-6'5

| Ya, everytime I have watched them this year, that is all they can talk about. How tall they are. I just feel Indy's corp is better. Maybe the lack of seeing them this year has twisted my perception.
I mean, you don't wave Chris Chambers unless you got some talented guys waiting in the wings.

| they have alot of offensive weapons. If we are gonna win we're gonna have to get pressure on Rivers and make him uncomfortable in the pocket. | |
