Dog Bite

There are, about a quarter of the population is some type of latino or hispanic decent up there. Might seem like a lot but it's closer to 40% in large metros south of Sac. Sacramento also has a larger percentage African American population then most of the other San Joaquin Valley cities(18% vs 5% to 10%) so I could get the demographic differences on the dog owner observations. With my observations, I don't see everybody, but pit bulls are one of the most common dogs I seem to see around town, in the foothills or mountains and of people I know these days.

Pitbulls are great for hunting wild hogs. That's just a lil fun fact for this Thursday morning

My pit was very protective over my newborn. She didn't want my other dog (maltipoo) anywhere near the baby. I shipped them off to boarding over Christmas and they became best friends again. My pit who is scared shitless of the vacuum still keeps her body between the vacuum and my baby.

It's a family dog that is well behaved and shown almost no aggression. Plus is a mut, not full blown pit.

Sure they do. Has happened before. They attack kids all the time, some have resulted in death. They can be very mean and aggressive dogs. I've seen far more aggressive chihuahuas then pits.

Now do one for income level on the owners. People in the hood and trailer parks that think its cool to have a pit cause most of the problems.

Small dogs though are the most aggressive. Chihuahua's, Jack Russell's, Dachshund's etc.,. What differentiates their aggression form the larger Pits, Rots, Doberman's and others is the results of their aggression. Bigger breeds breed for violence maim and kill at a higher rate when they attack then small lap dogs.

Pits are the #1 killer as far as dogs go. Dogs attacks/bite mostly due to poor ownership and training. There is a large number of poor people who give dogs shitty homes (not the literal structure of the house) that have pits. If that equates to race to you then it does go hand and hand with the convo.
