| sooo I was at my girlfriends house for dinner, and their Rottweiler bit the fuck out of my hand. I washed it, poured peroxide on it and put Band-Aids on it. There is a gash on my thumb that's somewhat deep and bleeding. I'm kind of freaking out. I played it cool but im kind of concerned and think I should probably have a doctor look at it but I really don't want it to get reported. I don't want them or the dog to be in trouble.
Im already currently on antibiotics for a throat infection. I took some advil, it doesn't hurt that bad anymore but im still worried about infection. To be honest I don't even know if the dog is up to date on it's vaccinations. I would hope so.

| Why did it bite you and did you get to use the line, "I'm quite alright, Barbara, I ran it under a cold tap"? | |

| it was the first time I met it. I let it smell me, it seemed cool and I was petting it even. Then I was sitting and I was petting it behind the ear and the thing just snapped at me and bit my hand. | |

| That dog sounds like a fuckin asshole.
I know doctors can be pretty gung ho about animal reporting, especially where i live...but maybe just go see a doctor and say you don't have the necessary info to file a report. Like no knowledge of owner, breed, residence, and it happened while somebody was walking their dog. Say you didnt try to get info because you were playing it cool and didnt think it was that bad at that moment. I don't know what they do if they think you are full of shit though.
I was bit by a dog in an apartment complex one time when this guy was walking his dog without a leash because "he's always cool around people"..i played it cool and the damages were minimal. Even if i wanted to make a stink about it later..i had no information on the owner or dog and would have been unable to file a report. Maybe this can be your situation.
You should also ask your girlfriend if the dog is up to date on it's shots for a little peace of mind.

| Last dog to get a hold of me was a poodle. ha ha ha what a pussy I am...... NO!!! this poodle was satan I tell you. one of those giant fuckers tried to run off with my hand in it's mouth. looked like this asshole but with a yuppie haircut from it's stupid owner. I was living with a buddy and these two train wreck chicks in college. I come home one night after class to an empty dark house, go through the front door, we had hardwood floors, I hear this tapping running at me in the dark and it's the fucking hell hound! one growl then it pounced me. and tore a little skin off and gave me a few nice canine punctures. Dumb girl I was living with decided she wanted to babysit her yoga instructors dog, not because it needed a baby sitter, but because she wanted to. Her idea of babysitting was to drop the dog off in the house, tell nobody about it or that the dogs stupid hippy owner had conditioned it to hate all living things, then go get blacked out at the bar and forget all about it. | |

| Poodles are some of the meanest fuckin dogs out there. I've met very very few that were even mild mannered, don't think i have met any friendly ones. I think the only breed that is typically more mean are Chow Chow's...just rude dogs. | |

Who needs a big bill from an immediate care center? If a dog bit me I'm not going to see a doctor unless it's infected or if it was a stray. I doubt the dog has rabies. Sounds like oggy cleaned it like a cut should be cleaned. It's not like he got bit by a komodo dragon. You get outta here with that motherly advice. I'm teaching oggy how ti deal with it like a real man would. Besides, he would get antibiotics if he saw a doc over it even if it was infected.(which I'm assuming it isnt.)

I agree with that. If it's infected he should go see a doctor. He might need a shot or stronger antibiotics. If so, he should use your story if he doesn't wanna report the dog. I wasn't really paying that part much attention

went and saw my doctor today, told him what happened. He didn't even bring up reporting it or anything, just asked if the dog was up to date with it's shots which I am told it is. He bit me pretty deep on my thumb, and my middle finger is kinda bad too and really bruised. He made me get an x-ray to make sure nothing hit bone. He gave me a tetanus shot, told me to keep taking my antibiotics and clean it really good everyday. If it gets infected I will have to go on stronger ones. Im allergic to penicillin so im on clarithromycin right now. I've been taking it for 4 days and have 7 left.

The ONLY reason I won't report it is because it's my girls parents dog. If it was anyone else's dog I wouldn't hesitate to report it. This dog has bit people before, which I wish someone would have told me. Those types of dogs are not to be trusted, they have mauled babies to death. Fuck Rottweilers. I wouldn't bat an eye at them putting a dog down who bit someone like that, especially unprovoked. I don't care who gets insulted by it because they have one, those fucking beasts need to be kept away from people, especially when they have a history of biting people.

| Even the best owners can't remove the killer instinct from those types of dogs. They could be totally cool for years and then turn on you in the blink of an eye for no reason other than it is in their nature. I am a dog lover, I have a dog, but dog's that attack people need to be put down. If you've never experienced it I can see why you would think it is wrong, but one day that dog is probably gonna go for someone's throat. Im lucky all it did was fuck a couple of fingers up. If that was a stray or a random dog I would of kicked that thing in the face. | |

| Pitbulls are either too agressive and scare the shit out of me...or they are too friendly/hyper/yet untrained and annoy the shit out of me. I've yet to see a balance with any pure pitbulls. All in all. Horrible dog. They are thugs. I've met some mutts that were pretty awesome though. However, that does not excuse Michael Vick(tim)
I had a rottweiler for about 10-11 years before she walked off into the sunset and died peacefully of old age/obesity. She was the peoples dog but was terrible around other animals. She was very sweet with us, but ruined my other, older dog that i liked more by not letting him eat. That was my fault by not making the right adjustments once she became full grown and became head honcho. She killed one of my cats, and broke my neighbors chow's leg(which was awesome because that dog was begging for it for years).
