| After seeing Penn totally outclass back to back top 155 challengers I have little interest in the rest weight class most of whom I see as inferior to both Flo an Sanchez. So I'm reaching out a bit and looking towards a guy who has excellent standup, is still young so could still grow, and himself just demolished a big strong 145. | |

| I dont think any1 at 145 or 155 can beat BJ. Hell u take away GSP and I dont know if any1 at 170 can beat him. | |

| How bout Penn Alves? And Thus setting up Penn GSP 3, wich is obviously what Penn has in mind.
We all know Penn is at his best at 155, but if the fights are this non competitive, do we really want him to stay there exclusively?

| I don't mind seeing him stay at 155, but the UFC needs to drag in some other talents to test him. Maynard, Griffin, and Edgar are all nice thoughts, but I don't think their fights end much differently than Diego, KenFlo, Joe Daddy or Sherk did. And I agree that no one at 145 gives him a challenge and GSP may indeed be the only 170er that can beat a focused Penn. Guy's just a freak... | |

| A 22 year old FW who just won his first real, meaningful fight in a much less competative weightclass that is half as deep and just now finding it's identity stateside, is going to challenge BJ fucking Penn?
Is BJ really this starved for opponents that people must suggest this?

Yes I think that is obvious.
I'm a Jersey guy so Im an Edgar supporter, but I have little interest in seeing him fight Penn. Same goes for Maynard.

| How about Aldo beats more than one top FW before we propel him to anything near BJ's level. Exactly how would Aldo compete, honestly? | |

True I wasn't saying next. Im saying at some point in the not so distant future. How does Aldo compete? That same question can be said about the entire UFC 155.
