| I don't get how anyone could sit on their computer and talk about Aldo being scared based on this "story". The original source of this story is Dana White, he is promoting, selling the story like a used car. Are we really that gullible still that Dana White's spin is not taken with a grain of salt? The fight is in late Summer and Aldo just got a big win and acclaim in his last defense, and now White is ready for attack mode on him? Sounds more like Aldo might want some more money for again fighting a top ranked LW for his FW belt or some other contracting thing the dictator doesn't want to hear, thus spin some stuff all the expected drones will instantly react to; Aldo is scared, ducking, etc.,.
Bullshit | |

| John Morgan @MMAjunkieJohn Was able to confirm with @danawhite reports from Brazil: If @josealdojunior beats @Showtimepettis, he then fights for the 155-pound title. Retweeted by Brett Okamoto | |

| My money is on whoever wins between Aldo and Pettis will hold both title.
Not sure what either would do after that though. I guess leave the FW division behind?

| But if Showtime does in fact go win both, he will have a 2-0 record vs Bendo, Gil will have just lost to Bendo, Frankie is out of the division, Nick won't likely earn another shot, so that leaves Miller or Maynard to challenge and I don't see them knocking off Showtime. Maybe he could stay at FW? | |

Possible, depends on how he's able to cut down to 145lb. I'd love to have a reigning champion of two divisions but I just can't see the UFC being keen on the idea.

So Guida can beat Pettis but not Maynard? |

So Guida can beat Pettis but not Maynard? Bad match up. Showtime has shored up the wrestling defense quite a bit since. People are catching up to Guidas bouncing not fighting fight style. Showtime by decision if they ever rematch.

By what method? Decision or knockout? When you say good chance what do you mean? Put a % on it.

| I'd give him a 30% of winning the fight. | |

| 30-40% chance. It would be higher if he had an extra fight to adjust to the weight cut. I think he can honestly strike with Aldo. Really wasn't all that impressed by Aldo in his last fight. He clearly won, but he now shows a real tendency of fading at the end of fights. | |

| I think Pettis is the favorite after watching that Frankie fight. Aldo slows down too much after ten minutes | |

| I still think Pettis has a better shot at beating Bendo then Aldo. I don't think a pace faster in the last rounds then what Aldo might bring is enough to compensate for the talent disadvantage. | |

| We don't know if Pettis will fade either with the weight cut. |

that's the only thing that concerns me. Pettis is pretty lean at 155. I don't think that is gonna be an easy cut

But can Pettis put on the kind of pace Frankie did through those ten minutes and not get obliterated like Frankie almost did?
