| Obviously the big one is, why Bones turned down Sonnen in the first place. Even more puzzling is what Greg Jackson had to say about the fight.
Next, I don't understand why Shogun would turn down the fight. Unless he isn't healthy. Unlike Machida, Shogun wasn't in line for a title shot and turning this fight down won't get him any closer. It just sounds like he is not looking forward to any kind of rematch with Bones.
Anderson Silva unwilling to fight at MW before the end of the year but willing to fight at LHW on 8 days notice. I don't get that. Even if he is waiting for GSP, he has plenty of time to take a fight and still be ready by the time GSP is able to take that fight. Obviously he can defend his title again this year, but for whatever reason he won't. Gayness.
How did this fall to Vitor? I would have understood Vitor being a 8 day replacement, but not when we have a month. I know Machida and Shogun both were ahead of Vitor on the list, but shouldn't there be a handful more infront of Vitor on the list? Like Gus, Glover, Davis, Forrest, Evans and just about any top 15 LHW. I just don't get it.

| I can understand Jon turning down the fight but I don't agree with his decision.
Shogun got destroyed in the first fight and from what Dana's said he's not been begging for a rematch so I can completely understand his decision, Machida on the other hand I've got no clue as to why he turned down the opportunity.
Silva wanted to help out I don't see the big isssue there.
Vitor's a name and talented striker so why not if everyone else is turning down Bones. |

Vitor's a name and talented striker so why not if everyone else is turning down Bones. Silva unwilling to defend his title despite being healthy and able to fight is inexcusable. Just because Vitor is a "name"(also an active MW) isn't enough of an explanation. Plenty of other "names" and not all of them turned down the Jones fight. Only 2 names turned down the fight. Now we lose an awesome fight in Vitor vs Belcher when a LHW could have just as easily got the Jones fight and made more sense for everyone.

| Rashad was just beaten decisively in April and hasn't even had a comeback fight.
Gustafsson is facing Shogun on the Fox card and will likely face Bones next year.
Davis is on a two fight streak where he lost to Rashad and poked Prado in the eye for a no decision.
Lil Nog fair enough but has he recovered from his knee injury ?
Glover's facing Rampage.
Bader just got KTFO and was already handeled by Bones. |

Bader just got KTFO and was already handeled by Bones. You have nothing here that suggest Vitor Belfort, a MW is a better option than anyone listed above. You know Vitor also had a fight scheduled just like the guys you mentioned. He was suppose to fight Belcher in Brazil.

We don't have any choice but to accept it. But I still have so many questions as to why this is the final conclusion when there seems to be so many better options out there.

| I already hated Jon, Dana, Greg and Anderson before, but I hate them all even more now.
Fuck Jon for turning down the easiest fight he has been offered in years.
Fuck Greg Jackson for making sure Jones never even considered taking the fight.
Fuck Dana for having such a weak card that was all about the main event. He needs to stop this recent trend of weak PPVs.
Fuck Anderson Silva for being perfectly healthy but unwilling to defend his title when there is a fight currently out there for him. You say you are ready to fight? Let's see it. You're the best MW in the world right? Then you have nothing to worry about.

If he is hurt that is different. But those suspensions get shortened all the time. Pretty much every time. They give those out for a reason, did u not see the bruises on his face after the fight?

There is also a reason why most fighters are back training and cleared way before the suspension is up. Most of the time fighters are back before the suspension is up.

I wouldn't of expected Shogun to take the fight. He is probably still chillin after his last fight and won't be full camping for his scheduled fight for a month or so. Plus he said he thought Machida proved himself over him on the Fox show meaning in his own mind this was not something he had yet proven he had earned. Also, Shogun i would think takes this seriously and wouldn't want this rematch to be thown together so hastily. I could easily see how it could be a waste to not have a camp against someone who had been in full camp mode for months and who had bested you last time so devistatingly, it shouldn't be taken lightly if it is important to you. There is a lot more to lose for him than someone like Sonnen, if he was to cash in his chance now at the rematch he could of been wasting it for ever and never get another if things went bad. There is p.lenty to understand about why Shogun is not fighting Bones in 8 days. I'm glad he is not.

I don't think I have implied anything even close to this. I didn't call Shogun a pussy, I just said he was making a mistake. Is anyone that declined a fight that was offered to them for UFC 151 or 152 making the wrong decision? Probably.
