Morecraft clearly aint no submission wizard, but you're seriously not going to give Barry any credit at all for escaping those attempts and getting back to his feet? You don't think he can ever improve his submission defense? Why is that?
I didn't say he can't, I said he deserves less credit for escaping poorly applied and lazily attempted submissions from a guy who is slightly below average in every facet of the game than you're giving him. The fact is he has improved his grappling, but the improvement is so minimal it's astounding. He couldn't even win a grappling match in a local circuit meet, that's how little his grappling has improved in coming up on four years in the sport.
When/where was this grappling match? Link me to where ever you heard that if you can find it Ludo. I am pretty sure I remember Barry talking about how for a long while he did not have the best grappling training and sparring partners. Although every fighter who sucks at something says that.

How did Barry lose that? Nothing happened.

I googled that guy, and he has been doing grappling tournaments since 2008. Sub-grappling for MMA fighters isn't balls out like an MMA fight either. I don't think that video or the other ones I had already seen on youtube prove he has a horrible ground game, just a green one. Barry's game has also, according to him, come along significantly since then. That was a year and a half ago.

That was just under 15 months ago for one. For two the man got choked out by Cro Cop who had no hooks in. For three Travis Hanson is something like a purple belt/MAYBE a blue belt(or was at the time of the video). I never said his ground game is terrible, I said for the amount of time he's been in MMA it looks like he hasn't bothered to work on it until just the last year and a half or so. My main gripe has been your trying to jaw Barry's dick because he escaped out of three piss poor attempts at submission maneuvers that only the likes of Mark Hunt circa 2009 would have tapped to.
So getting choked by Cro Cop while Cro Cop has no hooks in from the back means nothing to the effect his ground game has obviously been ignored and he is clueless on the ground against anyone who knows what they're really doing. Getting tooled by some local circuit purple belt in a no gi grappling meet when things finally did go to the ground means nothing either. By god I think you might be a dumb MMA fan.

Barry in 2009 would have also tapped to those I imagine. That is my point. He has improved since being in the UFC. He'll be getting better too. Barry has upside. Disagree if you want, but I see upside and potential in the guy, and I'll be rooting for him.
I purposely said a year and a half when it was a couple months shy to see if you'd bite on that btw.

Well if you're so good at baiting then why aren't you a more successful troll? At some point trolling stops being trolling when you convince yourself before everyone else.

I wasn't really trolling, just seeing if you'd do it. But overall I'd say I'm the least successful troll in NP history.
