Name them. Give me five. Fedor, Sergei, Duffee, Lopez, Wuff, Hayes, Conrad, Malikov, Santos. I'm sure I can find atleast 5 more.

Look at the clowns Lopez lost to. That guy could be in the UFC but hell no over Barry. Wuiff got KO'd recently by Tim Hague. Not sub'd in his second year after training BJJ, KTFO'd. Since then the only big fight he has was a LnP victory over a 200 pound M'Pumbu. 300 picked up a win over a stud but he isn't clearly better than Barry imo. Conrad is a giant boring slob. Fuck off with that shit. Nobody signed him for a reason before Bellator did. Malikov...really? Most of these guys can't sign with the UFC for various reasons. I didn't think you'd give me a real list of real names. Fedor, Sergei, Duffee should all be in the UFC but weird issues keep them out. Santos is signed to Bellator. And I don't think he deserves a contract over Barry either based on him not making weight for a tournament final.

| I'd probably take all of them over HD if they fought. | |

| Besides the big names, on that list only Konrad would be a prohibitive favorite. None of those guys have fought the level of guys Barry has.
Santos, Duffee, Hayes, Grabowski and Malikov are guys I want in the UFC and who I could see beating Barry as easily as vice versa.
Prindle, Lopez, Wiuff etc all get wrecked by Barry horribly. But I don't think these guys are below UFC level either.

But now him and Barry is a toss up? Your tune is already changing. The only reason you don't consider that last group on par with Barry is your fandom is blinding you. That or the letters on the gloves. It's not based on skill, I know that much.

That or the letters on the gloves. It's not based on skill, I know that much. The questions are different though. You were naming guys who deserve to be in the UFC over Barry and if that is the question, hell fucking no. The guy has one win over Alex, while Barry has been a UFC warrior for years. No body knows who he is, while Barry has a acquired some name value. From an over all strength of competition, draw value and fairness perspective, he "deserves" to be in the UFC over that guy by a mile. But I could see him winning the fight with the hand speed and power he has. He doesn't seem to have a very developed kicking game though from what I've seen. I would favor Barry, but when you're a banger with serious power, you always got a chance in these HW match ups. This is why Lavar has a chance against a guy who from a martial arts standpoint is significantly superior. It is like asking who deserves to be in the UFC more - Diego Sanchez or Ben Askren. Michael Chandler or Donald Cerrone. Rick Hawn or Melvin Guilliard. Chris Leben or Crushin Russian. I'd side with the exciting UFC guys every time in a "deserves" debate. I guess I just see Barry as a flat out better fighter than you do. What is your beef with him, strictly as a fighter. Forget the weird shit on his twitter.(I know I do) What makes you think he is a scrub with no upside?

I don't get it. What is so face-palm worthy? Lets discuss this. We spend a lot of time shit talking each other like we would random strangers on a MMA board we just signed up for and are about to be banned from as if we don't know we've each followed MMA for years, talked about it for years etc, and it is kind of bogging down our discourse. While battle rapping is fun, it is pointless in the long run if no discussion is legitimately had and we just trade "clown" "fight finder" back and fourth. So, where are you disagreeing with me? On the skill level of Barry, which I think is pretty fucking good standing, and clearly improving groundwise while a gap in sub-defense would be expected in any recent K-1 MMA convert, what don't you agree with? His sub-defense will be shit for life? He isn't a great technical striker? I donno, I like how the Japanese fans view fighting. I like how Dana and Lorenzo view fighters. I'm totally with them on the "guys who war" point. Do you not think being exciting matters? Do you not think how he fought against Kongo or CC acquits him to a degree? If you were Joe Silva, when would you have shit-canned him? I wouldn't have. I would have eliminated Dan Hardy by now, but Barry aint lose four fights in a row while not showing any improvement. I consider the two situations very different.

| Makes me wonder what could have been. If all the original fights would have remained there would have been a much bigger marketing push behind this. Could have approached Jones vs Evans. | |

The Sonnen-Silva fight is obviously the most anticipated bout in a very long time, but this card really needed a solid Co-Main to put up UFC 100 numbers. Still an awesome card though. Le-Cote will be a good one.

Yeah the card has been hit too hard now to reach that sort of figure. Cigano vs. Cain II could do well if it's stacked right. |

| Dana White was just on the Petros and Money Show and said the numbers were:
Weigh-ins - 8,000. Most ever for a State of Nevad Weigh-in. They had to stop letting people in. Live Gate: UFC record
Fights - 15,000 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. Live $7 million not confirmed by Nevada officials but does set a record for the venue and all UFC events in the United States. Old record, UFC 66 December 2006 Ortiz vs Liddell, 13,761, $5,397,300.
PPV Buys - Dana said, "weeeeeell, it is close to the all-time record, but I don't know."
I guess the arena was full by the 2nd fight. That kind of shit doesn't happen anymore.
Farmer what did you think of Vegas this weekend and the event?

Farmer what did you think of Vegas this weekend and the event? Fight fans took over Vegas. Tons of people traveled from around the world. Tickets were insane to try and get day of or day before. Brazilians were there in large numbers and very vocal. I skipped the Expo, but I assume it was as big at the one in Houston if not bigger.
