UFCStore.com selling SNL DVDs?

No, this isn't a Photoshop job. The
UFC is actually selling Saturday Night Live DVDs on the UFC Store
website. You may recall Dana White wearing several SNL shirts on the
last season of The Ultimate Fighter, so maybe they are selling the DVDs
because he is a big fan.

Maybe he is sucking up to NBC a little bit, trying to get a multi-platform deal for the UFC. If he gets them to pay for four PPVs a year, that will give us 8 free fights on TV and alleviate the cost to the fans. I wouldn't be shocked if that happened or is being worked out, because it looks like Basketball is slowly killing their own season, nobody really likes college B-Ball, hockey sucks on TV and baseball is still in the midst of its death throws. Maybe NBC is looking for something else?

College Basketball isn't going anywhere. March Madness is still one of the biggest events in sports.

Bobbitt. I am not saying that. But let us look at the alleged proven sports. College basketball during the regular season is lucky to get a half share (250,000 TVS) in viewership, unless it says Duke or UNC. Unless Lebron and Kobe are TV, the NBA is lucky to get a 4 (2 million TVs)share during the regular season. Baseball unless you have one of the big four (Yankees, Bo Sox, Phillies, Cards) are getting about half a share. Allegedly we did 175,000 PPVs on the last show. All sporting/specialty events consider there are 5 viewers per PPV in this category. That is damn close to a 1 share and we are paying $44.95.

The World fucking Series just did an 8 share. That is 4 million viewers. March Madness, which is badass BTW, has ups and downs but usually fall around 12 shares for the elite 8 games and then that is only a short spike. What has held us back, is fear. The big sports commentators and execs are guys in a different age brackett and have pre-formulated opinions. Sure they see the 1 share for a UFC PPV and say so, but others are saying, 'Yeah and the viewers paid for that too. When was the last time baseball fans had to buy a game?"

Let me put it like this. Duke is playing UC-Santa Clara and they put it on PPV for $10. How many buys do you think it gets? The Seattle Mariners vs the Colorado Rockies is PPV $10, how many PPV buys? The Memphis Grizzlies vs the Cleveland Cavaliers, $10 PPV. How many views? They wouldn't get 100,000 buys on any of them and quite possibly combined. The UFC does that in its sleep and we are paying 4 1/2 times as much.
