Rousey is a good fighter, but a horrible human being.

Sara McMann needs to get in SF. If she builds some submission defense...olympic wrestler vs. olympic judokan...not some high school wrestler vs. Olympian

The card was pretty good considering the fight i had the highest expectations to steal the show, only stole the shows momentum. JT-KJ.
It was a good night for womens MMA. Awesome competitive bout with Kaufman-Davis and Ronda-Tate having an overall competitive bout but with Ronda emerging as brutal as well as sexy.
Jacare looked excellent. Good to see him work some kicks into his attack and kicking off the cage with his takedowns was awesome. Jacare could have finished sooner but seemed to be making an effort to get some fight time in because who knows when his next fight will be with how long it took SF to give him a bout.
Kaz looked strong at WW. Total role reversal. He outstrikes Daley by a margin, and Daley tries to install a LnP tactic to steal rounds or get away from the beating he was taking on the feet. I picked Misaki to win the fight, but i didnt think he would do it by outstriking Daley. Nasty elbow by Daley though.
JT looked like shit. KJ lack of grappling killed him like it usually will. Noons will have a good career as long as he wants to stay in MMA on his striking alone, but like Paul Daley and fighters alike...he'll always struggle with guys looking to grapple him. This fight was horrible
Goodbye Scott Smith.
Healy wins again. 6-1 since move to LW with only loss being a come from behind win by JT.
Bowling vs. Martin Liddell was exciting. Where is Voelker?
Nice legit win for Ryan Couture. Huen is a good win at this stage of Ryan's career.

Yeah, this is the basic situation, and why Rhonda is now 5-0 with 5 1st rnd armbars. And all I see are HS level athletes out there. So Im expecting plenty more armbars.

Ronda is not a horrible human being
tate should have tapped Ronda did exactly what she was trained to do. if anything it's on the ref to stop it sooner her arm was broken for a while

Not that I should be speaking for Ninja here, but I think he is referring to the evil villain persona she has taken on.
Im not a big fan of it myself, especially post fight.
but like with Sonnen, it works in terms of bringing interest to a fight.

this fight got really personal remember, so much so that tate didn't want to tap when her arm was being twisted into a pretzel

Paul 'semtex' Daley/Facebook
I can't be Semtex all the time people, different fights call for a different approach. Sorry for those that felt cheated out of not seeing Semtex, but I feel being Semtex had an effect on the judges scores, because i didn't come out swinging. He got the 1st round, I got the 2nd, and the 3rd, I feel through takedowns, ground control, effect defense, and scored the most damage. The reason I back pedalled and kept it on the jab in the 3rd is because I honestly thought I had won the fight. it was close, but I feel I won.

What it really is is the total opposite of Demian Maia in that Daley has abandoned his striking in camp in favor of advancing on the ground. His improved grappling has showed over the last two fights, especially in this one with those takedowns. His confidence in his hands suffered in the process but I think his shitty standing performance last night had more to do with the fact that he didn't expect Misaki to come out looking to bang, and be highly effective doing it.
The fact that Misaki showed no respect for Daley's punching power looked like it really rattled Paul, that coupled with the fact that he's not trained striking as much as usual probably had him less confidant. We saw it pretty much the whole time. He threw almost no combos at Misaki, he backed up pretty much the whole time and was mostly sticking with the odd lunging right or tentative jab.
He's off base here, though. He didn't do more damage aside from that single elbow on the ground that landed in just the right spot to cut Misaki wide open. Misaki punished him for most of that fight when it was standing.

"The reason I back pedalled and kept it on the jab in the 3rd is because I honestly thought I had won the fight"
So what you are really saying is the reason I stopped fighting and decided to coast was because I thought I won two rounds and there was no reason to fight the third. I felt bad for the dude when he got kicked out of the UFC, cause Koscheck said some nasty things to him in that fight and he does have no mental game, but come on man, fight till the bell sounds, how many times have you seen judges mess it up, live up to your nickname.
