| i saw flynn went to seattle.
no idea what the plan is now for miami, i'd say go with moore and do whatever the fuck it takes to get a number one receiver. we don't have anyone you'd need to double cover under any circumstances right now so one has to assume we're going all out to 'suck for barkley' this year.
we either have to cough up a first for mike wallace or reach for michael floyd with number 8, no choice now.

he's shit though, no better than moore. sign him and he probably starts for no other reason than we've overpaid for him.

| Panthers signed Tolbert. Looks like they will trade one of the current RBs. Can't see D-Will being the guy that gets moved. | |

| Theres a lot more where that came from
not the truth at all. He's not shit and Moore is not as good. Though i may agree he would be no good for the Dolphins...but i'm not sure who would be good for the Dolphins..they don't have anything which is why nobody will sign with them unless there is no options anywhere else. Which is probably why they will end up with Garrard.

nah, smith is no better than moore and would have been poor value for $8m a year or more. we've picked up garrard on a 1 year deal anyway which is preferable to giving smith starter money and years or trading for tebow. the most positive thing so far is that more and more players are starting to come out of the woodwork to critcise jeff ireland. this franchise is hamstrung indefinitely for as long as he's the GM and the owner needs to realise this pronto.

| Looks like Smith took the same deal that was offered before. Maybe he gets a little extra guaranteed then he would have. | |

| i don't believe the 49ers will dominate the NFL for the next 50 years, claiming at least 41 superbowls during that timespan. * test post to see if the same cocksucker negs it * | |

| Alex Smith is 10x better then Matt Moore. Just sayin. Smith may not have been a fit in Miami, but he is better then Moore in every way. | |

tiny margins OU. smith had the first half decent season of his career last year.

smith had the first half decent season of his career last year. Not as tiny as you think. Matt Moore is fine for a backup. Put it this way Smith's ceiling is much much higher then Moore's.

They overpaid. Broncos also sent over a 7th round pick.

| At this point any team is overpaying for him. He is not a good qb and no team is structured to facilitate his brand of qb. Any team that features him will have to spend a couple of season restructuring there on field personal and coaching staff. | |

| Not so fast! http://espn.go.com/new-york/nfl/story/_/id/7718133/tim-tebow-trade-hits-snag-contract-language-source-saysthe teams have encountered a hang-up in the language in Tebow's contract that could nullify the trade In Tebow's contract is a $6.2 million salary advance, of which $1.2 million already has been paid by Denver, sources told Schefter. The difference of $5 million is still advanced against his future salary, and that burden would shift to the Jets in a trade. The Jets, sources said, believe the Broncos should owe Tebow that money. The trade, then, will not be finalized until the sides resolve their differences over which should pay the money coming to Tebow. | |

| The Chicago Bears agreed to terms Thursday with former Oakland Raiders running back Michael Bush, and franchise back Matt Forte doesn't seem too happy about it.
Bush gets a four-year contract worth up to $14 million, including $7 million in guaranteed money, according to a source.
"There's only so many times a man that has done everything he's been asked to do can be disrespected!" read a post on Forte's Twitter account. "Guess the GOOD GUYS do finish last ..."

| i was beginning to think the bears were looking like superbowl dark horses.
if one of their key guys is more concerned with how many carries he gets than winning games though that attitude can spread.
