| You're tripping. 75% of people think Condit bested Diaz, many Diaz fans among them. If Diaz had won after that fight, then bring on the rematch, well warranted because that would of been the controversial bad decision that would have people clamoring for a rematch. This about keeping $$$ of Diaz vs GSP alive. Tell me it's not. | |

| The polls ive seen do not bare that out. I would challenge you to look outside of NP. The official UFC.com poll was split at 47 47 with the rest undecided. The reaction in my facebook news feed generally favored Diaz as well. | |

| But anyways, I'll mark you in the "this is not about keeping the Diaz vs GSP $$$ alive" column then. | |

I'm a Diaz fan and I know it's all about that. I just think that fight was much closer then most of you are acknowledging. Again the varying scores for each round has to tell you something. Even the people agreeing Carlos won the fight are not agreeing with which rounds.

| The fight was not a run away, it was good, but I had no doubt it was gonna be a unanimous decision after the 5th was over. I thought it was going to take a very bad decision by the judges for Diaz to win. | |

I don't think everyone was as sure as you were. You can't deny that some of those rounds were tough to score.

| What else should it be about?
The fight was disputed and criticized by fans, so even if Carlos wins convincingly it is still better for the UFC. Diaz vs GSP was the fight fans wanted and im damn sure glad the fight we got isnt going to be the fight that costs us that. If Carlos wins more impressively it erases all the questions around him and increases the Condit vs GSP buyrate. The rematch is best for everyone, including fans. I cant understand the pisspants whining by Carlos fans around here....

| How about a rematch being deserved? Zuffa wants to cash in and some Diaz fans want it is a cheese dick reason. And seriously, why is this about sides with you? for your previous talk of extremes you sure ride on the outside with this. | |

| Im glad to see this unfold. It sets a precident other fighters can learn from. When "the natural born killer" promises a "dogfight" but then fleas for a portion of the fight, this is what he should expect. For the UFC, black and white Ws and Ls are not all that matter in their business model. Nor should it. | |

That is sad. Tthat $$$ matters more to you than the fights. How do you get that way? What is MMA to you?

That is sad. $$$, that you don't get, matters more to you than the fights. How do you get that way? What is MMA to you? Actually the "fight" is what Wolf is advocating for. And UFC should reward those guys that are willing to do just that.

| Well Condit fought and beat Diaz 5 days ago, so..... And Condit, unlike Diaz, was unwilling to wait for GSP after 143. I'd say that is more willing.

| The fights ARE what matters and that is what motivates the UFC. Condit vs Diaz sucked. It stole the biggest fight in MMA. It was unrewarding to watch and did not build excitement for GSP vs Condit. It disappointed many many PPV buyers and while you for whatever reason refuse to admit, outside of the NP ivory tower has divided opinions with most fans world wide. Point fighting not being rewarded is better long term for the fans anyway. I want fighters to fight to finish title fights. Big picture my friend, look big picture! | |

| You just said the fights don't matter and Zuffa money is what it is all about. This is the problem, you say the biggest fight in MMA was stolen as if it was already owned because of outside the cage wwe beef. It should be earned and it wasn't, unfortunately fickle crying is the grease that sees the business model you so cherish run. Incorrectly leaning on the fallacy that 'this was point fighting' or the noob notion that a victory that is achieved with out an exciting stoppage should be punished is full retard. | |

This is literally the argument the drunk doofus at the bar has made to me before because a fighter worked a jab or took a takedown, and I cannot blame him because he is not a real MMA fan nor does he respect the sport for what it has been and still is, that being what has made, most, everyone here a fan of the sport. You want MMA different for this guy great.

| You are making leaps in your argument. It is unfair to characterize my opinion as one that states finishes are required to be exciting. fighting as though you'd like to finish is required and I believe Condit avoided that too often. My favorite fighter is Lyoto Machida. You continue to pretend an unprovable subjective philosophical difference in fight scoring has also caused this fight to be hotly contested with many fans and fighters. Do you believe the UFC.com poll is staged? | |

| Did I criticize a fight where a guy pumped a jab or where a guy turned his back and lierally ran? Good lawd! | |

Condit tried to finish the fight as much if not more than Diaz. Did he not attack the head with flying knees and kicks? (which he has finished people with before) Bad intention elbows or straights? He did, saying he didn't doesn't change that. I believe that poll is skewed, it is not hard for internet polls to gain steam and momentum in a direction without a true accurate depiction of consensus, and I would not be surprised if a promotion website did mess with it, to promote you know.
