I can see how Condit got the decision he threw more and landed more, no they weren't take you out shots as he never sat down on one of them, constant movement that Diaz should've adjusted and and cut him off when he tried to slide out, sucks that we won't see GSP V Diaz, and I don't think Condit will be able to throw kicks like that he will get taken down over and over.
I thought Nick won it 3-2 in rounds as well, but it was a real close fight props to Condit. Nicks corner should've been telling him to pull gaurd and sub Condits ass by the third round. Then we wouldn't even need to argue about it lol.

- i prefer a style that tries to finish fights and uses a fighters skills to inflict as much damage as possible. Not out-pointing someone with insignificant strikes to squeak out a decision. I don't know how it can be anymore clear than that. I said Condit's style for this fight was smart, but not exciting. As a fight fan i want to see exciting fights, not who can out-point who and avoid exchanges the most. If that makes me the worst mma fan in the world then i am guilty as charged. Sorry for liking exciting fights over boring smart strategies.
Only problem Og, is that Condit was very effective in the counter striker role. He landed plenty of good solid shots. Most fighters would have been rocked, and Carlos prob would have went on the aggressive, but Diaz walked through it all. And while I also had Condit winning, this fight again shows how fighters fear Diaz, who would have expected condit to be on his bike for 80% of that fight? Yes Carlos won, yes he was effective, but was that "the natural born killer"?

| Yeah, i've always been a Condit fan but that is certainly not the fighter i became a fan of. Though i respect that he swallowed his pride and decided before fight night that the Natural Born Killer was likely not going to beat Nick Diaz so he had to be Bizzaro Condit and let Greg Jackson draw up the ultimate point grubbing game plan...and who better than Greg? It worked, and Diaz didnt adapt when i think he could have...but he's too stubborn and his corner is too stubborn. Maybe if Jake or Gil were giving him instruction instead of Nate. Those guys are more strategic and more capable of objectivity. | |

| I thought Condit landed plenty of shots and did plenty of fighting...he was just damn certain it wasn't going to happen with his back up against the cage where Nick destroyed BJ and Daley | |

I didn't. But I acknowledge that I'm far too biased to have an objective opinion on the subject. I know that, so my thoughts on the subject aren't worth much.

Atleast 1 judge scored 1 of those rounds for Diaz. Those were the rounds I scored for Diaz, but I knew it was very close. But being a huge Diaz fan, it's only natural I would lean Diaz on the close rounds. Which is why it's hard to be objective.

- Stout said he scored it 48-47 for Condit for winning rounds 3, 4 and 5. Maynard gave Condit rounds 1, 3 and 4. Browne, meanwhile, had Condit winning rounds 2 through 4.
The most interesting thing is the variation of scoring for each round just about everywhere.

Yeah its a nice feeling, being that I argued with Wolf and LA (to the point where wolf would say "Condit is that you?") about condit forever.. to see a UFC belt wrapped around his waist .. even if its Interim

| I can't even find it in me to root for Condit anymore. I expected a war and no matter what happened Condit would still be one of my fav fighters. But I obviously didn't see him going in that direction for the fight, no one did. I'm just way too salty to root for Condit. I'm actually rooting for GSP for that fight. | |
