Showtime want at least one fight from the winner. |

Showtime want at least one fight from the winner. I guess, but Fedor was in the GP and lost in the first round. Then he went on to lose to an undersized 205er. Why should he get a shot at the HW GP Champ?

Why should he get a shot at the HW GP Champ? Because Fedor's been on an epic tear, he crushed the great Jeff Monson and toppled the dangerous Satoshi Ishii. |

| Because he is Fedor. I know it looks real cute and all to ask why Fedor deserves a "shot" at the guy who won the tournament, but come on. | |

Fedor isn't Fedor anymore. After Chuck went on his losing streak, do you really think Dana would give him a title shot if he beats Elliot Marshal & Krzysztof Soszynski.

Why should he get a shot at the HW GP Champ? Well that "undersized 205er" just put on the best fight in the history of the 205lb division against Shogun Rua, so I guess size isn't everything.

| I'm sure Fedor has his fingers crossed for Daniel Cormier cause he has no shot against Josh. | |

| Josh is a more winnable fight imo. Both are winnable for Fedor. | |

| It is likely - Showtime and M1 are still in business and Showtime likely asked for the HWGP winner to fight again. Fedor is on a win streak against the level of guys Overeem turned into a 10 fight unbeaten streak. He is still a draw. Liddell was still a decent draw well after his prime. | |

Werdum, Duffee, Rogers > 40 year old Monson & Ishii.

| Fedor also beat Rogers. Overeem beat guys like James Thompson and a 40 year old Fujita on his way too. Fedor is clearly still dangerous. | |

Not even talking about whether or not he's a draw. Talking about the headline of that article because someone says to Coker "What about Fedor" and he goes "Derr, that's interesting. Well I haven't talked to him or his management but who knows" Yeah that's really sounds like progress being made. Not that Coker does anything anymore to begin with

| Dana and Zuffa have a hand in Strikeforce's major decisions but to think Dana calls all the shots when he didn't even know who Jimmy Hettis was until the fight in his own promotion is kind of ridiculous. Coker still has a huge role just as Reed Harris did. Two simultanious TUF seasons, FX, Fox, Fuel shows and content. Dana doesnt run Strikeforce's day to day.

Oh I don't think Dana really has all that much to do with it, but my money is on Sean Shelby definitely calling the shots on fights and signings
