I really don't know how to take Ronda calling out Cyborg here.

On the one hand I like that Roiders are called out for being cheaters.

On the other hand talking big trash at a fighter who is not allowed to fight seems kind of weak.

But hey Cyborg will eventually get cleared, and if Ronda is willing to throw down at that time, that would be epic.

Well Cyborg posted a pic of Gina in a dick move. So who better to call her out then Ole Ronda? Also Ronda would make Cyborg come to her, assuming she is 135lb Champion when Cyborg is back in business. So Cyborg off the juice, coming off a long layoff, cutting more weight then ever...what better time for Ronda to attempt street justice?

Well that just brought up this thought, a tiny little silver lining for Cyborg. She can use this time off to attempt to get to 135? She has plenty of time to lean up and do some practice cuts.

u know Ronda will be calling for Olympic testing too. And Im cool with that. Hopefully it will prove a bench mark and it can become standard.

Im already psyched for that fight.

But thinking about it even further, would Cyborg be allowed to fight for the title right away? Not sure they would allow that. So how long from now until they would realistically fight? Hell we don't even know what WMMA will look like in 12 months.

Yeah those are the big questions. We don't really know where Ronda will be at in 12 months, like I said we can't be certain on where WMAA as a whole will be in 12 months. Probably better off then it is now? But if that Tate-Ronda fight doesn't produce, it could go in reverse.

It could, but Ronda is an olympic athlete fighting against HS level athletes. She is tapping girls in seconds. ridiculously so. The talent gap, thus far, has been astonishing, too the point where we are hesitant to give her credit.

So even against the higher echelon woman fighters(and again, HS level athletes) Im expecting her to cruise.

Add on Ronda's trash talk, and then add in Cyborg, who makes for the ultimate evil villain, and anything besides the biggest fight in womans history would be a major dissapointment.

Will that hype get the attention that Cyborg vs Gina got? Because even my very casual fans were aware of this fight. Even the local radio clowns were talking about that matchup. Ronda is cute but she isn't in Gina's league when it comes to sex appeal. I doubt it would have the steam of that fight. But I'm sure it could/would be bigger then Tate vs Ronda.

At a meeting held today in Sacramento, Calif., the California State Athletic Commission voted to uphold a yearlong suspension and fine of Cristiane "Cyborg" Santos.

In an appeal before the commission, Santos and her lawyer unsuccessfully lobbied to get the suspension reduced to six months. The fighter had previously paid the fine.

Santos tested positive for stanozolol metabolites following a Dec. 17 title defense against Hiroko Yamanaka at "Strikeforce: Melendez vs. Masvidal."

During the meeting, Santos took responsibility for the positive test in a statement read to the commission.

"I made a mistake," Santos said. "I do not condone the use of performance enhancing drugs in MMA."

The statement played favorably with commissioner John Frierson, who applauded the fighter for appearing before the commission and introduced a motion to have the suspension reduced to six months.

"At least she came before us and fell on the sword," he said.
