Drive is a modern day classic.

Prometheus isn't that bad it was just a huge disappointment for me.

I haven't seen Prometheus but I agree that Drive was great.

I see where you're coming from. I thought Prometheus would be a 9/10 type movie from all the hype but I gave it 6.5/10.

Watch Amazing Spiderman yesterday. Thought it was pretty good. Downloaded new Batman to hard drive.

Beasts of the Southern Wild was really good. Not the kind of movie many would willingly appreciate and I don't think I enjoyed it, but it's not really for enjoying for me I decided. Some big things happeneing in that movie though.

Looper I enjoyed and thought was also very good. A time travel movie that wasn't really all that much about time travel, it was pulled together nicely and left some unanswered questions that were fun to ponder.

Safe - Decent run of your mill Jason Statham action flick, the story was awful but the shoot outs and fight scenes delivered. I just don't understand why they force Statham to have an American accent in movies because his attempt at one is abysmal. 3/5

I watched the new batman over the weekend. It was good, not as good as the 2nd one but not far off. It was about what I expected.

Jack Reacher's been getting pretty good reviews, both Empire and Total Film gave it 4 stars.

The Expendables II - Yes the script is awful and the dialogue is so cheesy you could serve it with wine, but, it's a whole lot of fun ! As long as you come into the movie knowing what to expect you should enjoy it. 3.5/5

Watched Lawless last night. Nothing too special but watchable. Good performances by Pearce, Hardy, Shia

Watched Rise of The Planet Of The Apes again today and it's still pretty powerful. Andy Serkis is without a doubt one of the most underrated actors in the business today.

Worried about the planned sequel though because they've replaced the original director with that guy who directed Cloverfield.

Just got back from the Hobbit. A few things they strayed from in the book, and some things they expanded on from the book, a few things they achieved the end result of from the book just in a different way. Overall I liked it. Solid 8 out of 10.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey - Absolutely excellent !!! It surpassed my expectations and will easily sit perfectly next to any of the LOTR's. 5/5

Hey eh Dave which version of The Hobbit did you go and see ? I just saw the standard 2D version and it looked great. I am curious to hear if anyone is going to see the 48fps version, alot of people don't seem to like what it does.

I saw the standard 2D version as well. I'm not all that interested in 3D
