| Right, all you see is wins and losses and nothing else, why bother with all of the facets of fights when talking about them, what good would that do?
Like I said many if not most, which you of course are neither.

| Because all that matters is the result. Within the rules he won fair and square. It's not his fault Carwin tired himself out. You win and you're the better fighter for that night, no excuses. |

| Your limited by your blinders. There's really nothing to talk about, no reason to even watch fights, if all that matters is a check in the W/L column. Why do you even waste your time here with attempted discussion where we talk about it all things if all that matter is a check in the W/L column? Seems like a waste of time for someone who gets all they need to know by the official results alone. - freakzilla wrote:

lol, so indicative of how you see things so often.

| Yeah to say Brock was overrated is fair but he did have some nice wins and his credibility as a fighter shouldnt be in question. What he did in only 8 fights was impressive as hell. Not to mention the health problems he had and lack of top quality training partners. He obviously showed he struggled against top notch strikers but I think him coming to the UFC was a huge success for not only Brock but for the UFC also. | |

| He was more of a financial success for Zuffa than a success as a legit credible MMA fighter imo. | |

I partly agree but the guy did win the HW title which means he was a legit fighter also.

| He deserves credit for his accomplishments no doubt. But I think there are many reasons he receives more credit than he truly does deserve for them. | |

| like bloodyelbow wrote, lesnar went into that fight already to retire and it showed. Isnt this what everyone predicted, a quick finish from either guy. Also its silly for those to hate lesnar and discredit his career. Guy accomplished more in his 3 years than most hws do their entire career. Dont forget to last night was overeems biggest win of his career so what does that say about him. Lesnar obviously doesnt have the drive anymore and like dana said guy was never the same after the first surgery. Still last night he lookd like crap n should retire but no denying guy was legit and has good wins over solid comp. Lol at the randy clip, i guess vitor got lucky against franklin as well. Dont forget how shogun also got lucky against machida.lol in the end i think its funny how some talk down of lesnar for his wwe past and instead support a juicer in barnett who still currently does pro wrestlin. | |

It's silly that all the sudden Brock had no will and desire to fight while discrediting what posters on here predicted would happen word for word... In the process overlooking how Overeem demolished Brock! Just like Cain did, just like Carwin was doing before he layed an egg

He was indeed a good fighter, especially considering his relative inexperience in the sport of MMA, that still doesn't change the fact that he was overrated

This whole post is so much fucking bull shit. How convenient for the underwater BE Brocklets to cry he was retired already even when he says if he was good enough he wouldn't retire, I mean really, did that just not happen? lol. Lesnar is deserving of discredit in proportion to the amount of credit he has been granted by the new mma fanbase he brought with him to the UFC, which was way too much. In his three years he went even on a matchups are everything series with Mir, layed on a ghost of who was ever only an okay Heath Herring, and yes, based off where his striking is and has always been, and even for it being against Randy, a fortunate Clip on the feet to beat Couture. It's pretty ridiculous to call out great strikers as being lucky when they knock out their competition so often and even more so to compare those names to Lesnar. And great icing on this cake with Mr. WWF duffle bad full of roids and syringes but oh fuck Barnett fuck Barnett.

| ^^^^^^^wow, someones mad. Im only posting what other have mentiond and if u didnt think it was obvious lesnar soft and barely tried last night then y must of been stream the fight with a bad connection. Also machida and franklin wer favorites going into their match up in wich they both lost from the same punch lesnar landed on randy. As for herring, dude was a legit top 10 goin up against lesnar. He had just had his biggest win of his career against kongo. Same kongo that defeated a prime cro cop. Lesnar retired him. Finally once agian im just stating facts. Even in his wwe days lesnar was never poppd for juice. Lesnar dedicated himself to mma for the ast 3 years unlike barnett.who has been popped multiple times and still does pro wrestlin. Once again just facts, never said fuck barnett. In the end styles make fights and cain and overeem wer able to capatilize their stregnths against lesnar. Doesnt mean all top hws can. Lesnars stregnth and wrestling are still good if he comes in with the desire to compete to take out most of the hw division. He has shwn in the past. Seems only people remember his last few fights who wer all against top 5 comp. Heck his last 5 fights wer against top 5 comp and he won 3 of them so to say guy was not elite is stupid. Once again, just facts. | |

And your facts are weak especially for a discussions sake on this topic. Fact was Herring coming off a split decision over Kongo to become 2-2 in the UFC was not ranked in any top ten lists in 2008. His biggest win came at the cusp of his peak fighting days in the Pride teens and twenties over 9 years ago against Mark Kerr. And it might be a fact that Shogun and Belfort were underdogs in their fights, but that a couple of KO artists KOing their opponents are lucky they KO'd their opponent or that since Brock landed a strike that bared similarity to their in route to his victory, despite his factually obvious terrible striking, somehow validates his skill or devalues that of some of the most well established KO artists... Really? Also a fact Brock never tested dirty by a commission test, I guess that makes it a fact that anyone who has never tested dirty by a commission has never used PEDs, facts are strong! And it's a fact that the bag of meds and syringes he was popped with in his pro wrestling hey day was too confusing for the PD lab to work with, probably flax seed oil. He has so much over Barnett, except for MMA talent, but I guess that is just an opinion, wouldn't dare want to establish one of those in the face of such compelling facts. You never said Fuck Barnett but the fact is when things are often enough said their cumulative context become apparent. Fact is Lesnars last three opponents have been top 5 HW's, that's a fact. Fact is those 3 top 5 HW's all had him on the floor and cowering to strikes early in the first round. And I'm pretty sure it's a fact that some still cling to the notion despite that there are still only handful of people Brock is not better than when a fair amount more than a handful of fighters have lasted and fared much better than and longer then Brock ever did. Brock got treated like any other of the cans those three dudes ran through over the years.

| Reem likely would of beat Fedor last night like Fedor would of beat Lesnar last night if they fought, less convincingly so than Reem beat Lesnar. | |
