Dos Santos definitely has a shot but I say no. I think its just to many things that can happen in a HW fight.

JDS will have Overeem,cain again and a third to complete this task. will be very hard

JDS defends at least 3 times IMO, dudes a beast!

overeem doesn't impress me much to be fair, i reckon it will be lesnar and then velasquez again.

it will indeed be very hard to avoid being taken down and having to eat the fat end of the wedge at some point during these fights.

Cigano has a great shot, sturdy chin, dangerous power and good takedown defense.

As much as I like Overeem I don't see him lasting long against Cigano, his stand up isn't as awesome as people make out.

Brock will curl up into a ball as soon as Cigano lays hands on him.

Brock will beat Overeem and then get the shot against JDS next but I really dont like how he matches up against JDS at all.

JDS has a great chance, Brock is not getting by Overeem, and I do think Overeem and JDS will be a great fight since they won't be trying to go down to the ground, I do give Cain a better chance with a few fights under his belt, that long of a layoff against a beast like JDS, still with how quick it ended not sure if a unrusty Cain does any better

Cain could definitely do better in a rematch. He didnt get beat up he got caught and finished.

i would honestly like to see a rematch. Cain is definitely the 2nd best hw regardless of the outcome of Brock vs Reem.

I'd like to think Jr is the guy to roll a couple off.

However he needs to prove his standup, his take down defense, etc are up to the task. so far who knows? Maybe Brock does maul him, maybe the K1 champ steps up, but right now Ill lean(not conclusively) towards JDS.

Before last night's fight Cain hadn't fought for 13 months and before that it was 8 months. I think if he can get a few fights in a row and get his sharpness up then he would be very competitive with JDS.

Coming off the injury last night Cain looked alittle gun shy.

Also talking from experience a shoulder dislocation fucks you up mentally when it comes to contact sport. He wont be his full self for a while. In my opinion that's why he didn't really go for the takedowns.

JDS was fighting with a torn meniscus so that really shouldn't be an excuse for Cain. And lets remember the fight only lasted about a minute. Im sure he wanted to feel it out and find his range before he starts diving for takedowns.

It didn't sound like his strategy was to shoot at all from the press conference.

jds just like shogun showd that even if injured and out of shape ,fighters can win titles. people saying cain was off for a year should be making the same excuse for lesnar when he got ownd by carwin in the first rd of their match. dominck,franklin,faber and others have all fought injured and with broken hands in title matches, guess wich one made the excuses after the fight, the one who lost.

That aint going to happen lol.

I love JDS and as much as I would like him to defend 3 times, I think the odds are he doesn't. Depends on the matchups but the HW division is just going to beef up even more at top when some of the other SF HWs come on over. I think if Cain does get a rematch he will approach the fight very differently and has a much better chance in the rematch.
