| Shields has good jj but i could easily see Maia tap him, they are different levels. A couple more secs and mayhem would have tapped Shields... | |

| Maia BJJ > Shields BJJ, but Shields wrestling > Maia wrestling.
I think Shields's striking is as good as Maia's. He had no problem surviving vs Lawler, Hendo(caught once), & GSP. He'll do fnie vs Maia. | |

| maia is a judo black belt and i dont think the key to beating Demian Maia is being in his guard for 3 rounds. Thats a good way to get choked out. | |
