2. Hendo 3. Palhares 4. The best fighter Spider ever fought(his words not mine) Ace. Palhares and Ace? Why? Palhares is a beast. He has the takedowns and BJJ to threaten Anderson. He has the tools that could threaten Silva. His only real loss in the UFC is to Hendo, brain fart vs Marquardt set him back big time though. If you look at my picks you get the wrestler, the H-bomb striking power, top level BJJ fighter that actually has the ability to take people down, then you end it with the series that made Anderson Silva. But honestly that 4th fight was only semi-serious and more on the joking side. I'm a big Ace fan and he said he wouldn't have any problems going again.

| I still have zero interest in GSP vs Silva. For a number of reasons. It's a subject I'm tired of even thinking about at this point. I also don't think GSP before Hendo is realistic. Especially if Diaz beats Penn. Even then I don't see this fight happening. Which is for the best anyways. | |

Penn beats Diaz. There will be absolutely nothing left for GSP. It has to happen, Anderson is 10x more willing to fight a smaller guy in GSP than move up to face Bones.

Disagree with that line of thinking. But I've been down this road a million times now over the last couple of years. I think it is better for both GSP and Spider to remain at there ideal weights. There are still fights out there for both men. Fitch has earned his shot numerous times now. If Fitch ran his mouth like Sonnen or Kos he would have already got that rematch. Performing in the cage is not good enough, you have to have a gimmick.

| OK give Fitch a shot then who? A Penn trilogy even tho GSP is 2-0? Hughes is about to retire. Kos got destroy and hasn't earned another shot. Shields lost after losing to GSP. He hasn't fought Amir yet? How about Ellenberger or Kampmann? GSP has cleared out that division. He needs to challenge Andy before he retires even with the size difference. | |

GSP's job is to fight the best WW in the world. It's on the UFC to get the best WW possible to fight GSP. This isn't boxing, weight classes are separated but much more weight. Also love how you just write Diaz off against Penn like it's a given. GSP is going to have his hands full with Condit, then if he gets by Condit he will have his hands full with either Fitch or Diaz. Not easy fights, GSP won't dominate any of these men. It's not in his best interest to jump in weight. He is a smart fighter in a smart camp. Which is why I expect they will make the right call here. So far it seems like they will.

So far it seems like they will. It is in his best interest if the money is right and it could elevate him into a whole new level for a fighter is he becomes a 2 weight class champion. Anyway Diaz needs to beat a top 15 fighter before I give him an ounce of credit. I see no reason why Penn doesn't whip his ass across the cage and back. GSP already dominated Fitch and should do it again. Condit is a solid guy and puts on good fights, but won't give GSP anything he hasn't seen before. Guess we will have to agree to disagree.

| If Diaz beats Penn, then he deserves a shot. Other then that, I'd be cool with GSP challenging Spider. but that is GSP's call. it s by no means mandatory. | |

| Agreed. But I don't think money is an issue for GSP. I image the dude is pretty damn set. Even after he retires he will be able to pull in some bank. I think GSP could remain at WW and still be proud of his legacy. Anyone that discredits what he has achieved because he wouldn't jump up 15lbs because he was too good at his job is just LOL funny to me. | |

| Nice, but doubtful, once Anderson starts losing which he closer to doing than further, he will start going emo and quit out of the big show. | |

According to Tatame.com, the UFC middleweight champion appeared on the Brazilian TV show, "De frent com Gabi," and revealed that he has no plans to hang up his gloves anytime soon and says he will fight for at least six or seven more years.
"I'll fight for another six or seven years and then I'll stop. I stopped to think about it and I'll postpone my retirement for a little longer. Then I'll think about TV. I guess it's interesting."
Yeah right, Silva wants to break Couture's records |

i bet he'll call it quits after his first loss... if it happens lol Why? Anderson has suffered defeat before, not on the biggest stage but he has multiple losses on his record. I think Anderson is the kind of guy that can recover just fine mentally after a loss.
