Who wins? Sonnen vs Stann

Couldn't find a worthy fight for this weekend. I think Edgar vs Maynard might have a poll already and I don't expect anyone to pick Kenny over Aldo.

I think Aldo beats Kenny but it will be closer than most think. Here I take Sonnen by decision.

In an actual short breakdown of the fight: Stann has looked good recently, albeit against guys who were there to stand in front of him. Good, powerful striking though and good technique. I'm sure he's been working the TDD plenty, but it won't make that much of a difference. The problem with fighting Chael is that he only needs one takedown a round. Even if he gets stuffed a few times, as soon as he actually completes the takedown, he's gonna be on top until the end of the round. Unless Stann has developed a killer guard which is very doubtful I don't see this ending well for him. He's gonna get beat up here. I'd actually like to see Chael pass guard during this and really try to pound him out

Chael easily, although that is no knock to Stann. I think he could beat every MW besides Anderson/Chael. Both Vitor and Rockhold would be close though.

I'll bump this when Chael is eating canvas.

I respect the hell out of Stann as a person. He's a fucking hero, but I've never been to high on him as a fighter. Maybe it just me but imo Sonnen takes Stann to school in this fight.

Actually, I am gonna take Kenflo, because I am sure he knows this is the very last chance he is ever going to get. I took Sonnen, because i think he is smart enough to say shit that stirs the pot, but smart enough too, to downplay where he is physically. I think he is playing possum, when it comes to his conditioning and he also knows he is going to get a shit load of money for a rematch with Silva.

I think you are picking Kenny because you are a KenFlo fan and you hope he finally capitalizes on another gift title shot. Sounds more like wishful thinking then an actual prediction.

Strange thing about MMA is that matchup wise, the guy Stann last defeated would have a better chance at beating Chael Sonnen than Stann.

Stann's best bet at winning most fight is by knockout or decision...Sonnen is very beatable for the many guys who can expose his achillies heel...Stann aint one of them.

Sonnen only lost via TKO once, and it was a corner stoppage because of injuries.

Sonnen has lost one decision, which was a majority decision.

Brian Stannds no chance.
