13/10/09 - Shogun 'will knock Machida out in round three'

Mauricio Ruas’s coach Andre Dida (the Muay Thai specialist and K-1 fighter) has been reponsible for Shogun’s preparation for his upcoming fight against light-heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida on October 24th.

Dida says, “He is very confident. He’ll face a striker and he is trained for it. It won’t be only a stand-up fight but Mauricio is ready to surprise everybody. Shogun is well-trained. We worked knowing that Lyoto is an athlete who moves very much. We know how this fight will go and have A, B, C and D plans. Shogun will know all the moves from Machida”.

“For the pace of fighting that Lyoto forces, always looking for the knockout, I think this fight won’t go past the third round. Shogun will knock out him in the 3º round for sure. Shogun is going to be the unique guy to show the world how to beat Lyoto. Everyone will learn how to beat Machida so on,” he told Terra.com.br

So, which awkward position will Shogun Rua be laying on the mat in out cold in the second round? The bent knee dead look has already been taken by Evans. I think it's going to be face down, but on his knees in a rape victim position.

Andre Dida is his coach... Thats sad I got Machida via KO in the third when Shogun gasses out.
