The new version. New hype trains to jump on. Which fighters do you buy or sell?

I'll get to this tomorrow or sometime this week

buying:
Gilbert Melendez as an elite LW, possibly the best.
Douglas Lima as a future contender in the UFC.
Phil Davis as a future UFC Champion.
JDS as the man that will beat Cain and become UFC Champion.

selling:
Brock or Frank Mir ever being champion again. Not really going out on a limb here.
Thiago Alves ever even getting a title shot again. Or even beating a top 5 WW again.
Daniel Cormier even if he does beat SDR, I don't expect him to do too much.

BUY: Pettis/Olivera/Alvarez/Guillard 2.0 - see Pettis and Mel getting title shots by middle/late 2012..who knows when Eddie gets out of Bellator. Olivera has the brash confidence and the all-around game. He'll bounce back from that Miller fight

SELL: Sot/Barboza/Aoki - Think George loses to most when he steps up in comp, love Barboza but last fight showed that CC side where he has difficulty letting shit go when people stay in his face (still think he can be good but his stock went down for me), Aoki loses to people that aren't tailor-made for him (see: Beerbohm, Lyle) when he comes to the states

short version; BUYING guys with athletic talent and SELLING guys without as much natural athleticism.

Partly, although Edson is super athletic. In truth though I've never been high on George and while being a fan of Aoki just think he gets sprawl-brawled by any solid dudes in a cage

Phil Davis- Will lose 2 fights in the next 18-24 months and will never be UFC champ
Eddie Alvarez- Will get ko'd or submitted if he fights Edgar/Maynard/Melendez
Roy Nelson- Will never beat a top 5 HW
Anthony Pettis- Will eventually be excellent but will lose pretty easily in his title fight

No one thinks they will get near the main event anyway.

Buy - Phil Davis, Tyson Griffin with a comeback at 145, Bones keeping the belt more than 1 defense, Ronaldo Souza being a real title contender even in the UFC, Stun Gun Kim being top 10, King Mo becoming SF champ again.

Sell - Sergei being a darkhorse for the tourney, Fedor @ 205 if it happens, Jim Miller becoming champ, GSP @ 185 for keeps, Sonnen topping his performance vs Silva.

I like the Oliveria and Tyson Griffin buys.

King Mo- for now, maybe in another year I will change my mind. Just don't think he is quite as good as most people.
Dan Hardy- didn't think he really earned his title shot, don't expect him to be anyting more then a Leben type fighter.
Rumble/Aussie George- as ever being legit title contenders.

more buys:
Paul Harris- as a legit top MW, better then Maia, I think a fight vs Jacare would be very close.
Jacare- I didn't fully buy into him until very recently. I think he is a top level MW.
Jose Aldo- as a top p4p fighter for a long time to come.

didn't want to add fighters I'm a fan of but I'm still buying Jones, JDS and the Diaz brothers.

King Mo said his knee bothered him for 4 fights before he got it operated on. He's 100% now and has started training with a good camp so I think he should improve big time.
