| Is it being based on fights just while in the UFC or their entire career while in other organizations? | |

| If it's just UFC I don't see how anyone can even think about putting Ken on the list. Overall career I can see him in the mix but not just for his UFC fights.

| Ken was the best fighter in the world while with UFC
easy to justify, add in beating Dan Severn (as a 6-1 or 8-1 underdog depending on who you believe), the draw/win over Royce and Oleg, beating Kimo, Brian Johnston and Pat Smith with the UFC 2 flunkies is easily top.
He was beating and fighting the top guys in the sport not just weight class.

| Hughes had a good run but got owned by a Lightweight when thought to be at the top of his game. | |

Im rolling with Tim. Silva is 12-0 with 10 finishes. Multiple divisions. The only blemishes are the fights in which he was obviously not motivated, yet still won easily.

| ya but Ken was 6-2-2 before retiring and would have been 8-2 if there was judges, and if a local basketball player wasnt a judge for the local michigan guys fight then Ken would have been 9-1 during that time
easy to misinterpret numbers when you dont even look at them

| I'm just saying his UFC work.
He also lost to Royce and Severn. Johnston was 2-2 when he fought Ken and went on to the stellar record of 5-5.
He beat Pat Smith, Chris Leninger, Felix Mitchell, Severn, Johnston, Kimo.
Beating Leninger, Mitchell, Johnston, and Kimo isn't impressive to me.
His overall career I agree with you, his fights in Pancrase show he was a top fighter but in my opinion not the best fighter ever in the UFC.

How is that forgetting when he didn't beat them? I said he beat Severn, he also lost and had a draw to Royce and a Draw with Oleg.

| ya but if you watched those fights you would know why they where Draws
Ken completely dominated both fights and if judges had been there he would have W's instead of those 2 draws
thats a fact
like it or not from 1995 to 1996 Ken beat Bas Rutten, Severn, Royce, Oleg and Kimo

| Sorry, I did watch the fights as they happened in the UFC. The rules were the rules back then so a draw is a draw not a win, sorry. They didn't have judges to determine a winner sucked but that's how it was. | |

| gotta disagree
Ken sent Gracie into UFC retirement and every fighter at UFC 5 came out and congratulated him. You dont need a judge to render a decision to know who won that fight

I have to agree on that, there is no doubt in my mind about him while he fought in Pancrase. He was what 17 or 18 and 3. All 3 of his losses were rumored to be worked if I remember correctly.

| Yeah I have to say eary days Ken was tops in the UFC, but over time faded and didn't have as impressive a run as Anderson or GSP.
Hughes to me has the most impressive UFC resume after Anderson or GSP, losing to another alltime great in BJ isn't that big of a deal.

All 3 of his losses were rumored to be worked if I remember correctly. yeah they honestly all were rumored works, the 2 Suzuki ones and the Funaki ones, especially considering 2 of them were before Ken was going into UFC title bouts, alot of people feel (and kinda know, get to that later) that Pancrase didn't want their champion losing in UFC with their belt. They made Guy Mezger relinquish his title before going into UFC 13 for fear that he would lose
