| Overall in MMA, this question is simple at the moment, Fedor, but in the UFC it isn't as cut and dry. In light of an alltime UFC great in Chuck Liddell's retirement, a fighter who definetely would be in the mix for said Title, who do you think is most deserving to be called the best fighter in UFC history?
Chuck Liddell? Randy Couture? Royce Gracie? Matt Hughes? GSP? Anderson Silva? BJ Penn?
Feel free to name anyone you want...

| see and Im gonna get bashed for this, Hughes, Franklin and Liddell aren't in the discussion for me.
Heres why
Hughes : the losses to Penn and Hallman proved he probably wasn't even the best in his division yet alone the world.
Chuck was the man in his division for either a year or 2 years and I sadly just dont think he would have survived in Prides stacked division.
Franklin simply dominated a average division until Anderson Silva showed up, who is Franklins most impressive victory during his reign? The Crow?
Pat Miletich definitely not in the discussion

Ok I have decided thats my list of guys in line with the claim for best all time
Hughes, Franklin and Anderson (Anderson still has some questions to answer IMO) are outside looking in at the time.

| At this point I'd have to go with GSP or Anderson, they have really both put together spectacular careers in the UFC. And picking them over Hughes, Randy, Chuck or Royce isn't an insult to those guys, but more of an indication of what GSP and Anderson have been able to accomplish. | |

| I agree LA that they could become the best ever I just think with possibly a good amount of their career (or possibly not alot at all) I want to wait and see the pretty much finished product, since both of them are still in their considered primes. | |

| Probably Spider. He still hasnt even been beat yet in the UFC. GSP definitely has the better resume to me though with the guys he has beat. It is very close and when they fight it will answer it all for me. | |

Hughes did a lot for the UFC and MMA before anyone heard of GSP, not saying he's a better fighter but I think you are giving Hughes too little credit here
