| i think at #6 possibly 5. nate, sonnen and of course spidey would beat him. not too sure if maia would be strong enough to catch george in a sub. vitor doesnt do so good against wrestlers however those that have shut down his hands and grounded him have been alot bigger and stronger than gsp. | |

| I'd like to see him fight Sonnen. He'd probably win by some sort of submission but i want to see somebody takedown GSP and lay on him for a change. | |

| I think GSP would beat Silva eventually, and most others. | |

| I think he could be a top MW but never a champ. I bet Nate gets the best of him most of the time in practice and he sees how much trouble it's been for Nate to even get back to a title shot so he stays where he is the best and there is nothing wrong with that. I think talent wise of course he has a chance against any MW I just think he comes up short against Anderson, Nate, Vitor, and Sonnen imo. | |

| The only real matchup I see that could be a nightmare for him is Chael. He could beat everyone else | |

I agree. How can anyone think there's only 1 or 2 guys that even have a shot at beating him?

| Why would he not do good? Hasn't anyone learned skill is the best asset in a fight, GSP has more than most in the sport. | |

Until he does it no one can prove it either way. |

Are you really trying to argue that one of the most talented and greatest P4P fighters in the history of the sport (who already said if he moves to MW he will take time off to put the weight on the right way) would get tooled by the weakest division in the sport?

Until he does it no one can prove it either way. Aren't you the guy who makes all the "What if" tournys? Obviously we can't prove how good a fighter is at a weight he has never fought at. But we can still have the conversation.

I also don't think the LHW Champ, which is the deepest division still IMO, could compete at HW. What's your point? Things change when you aren't at your natural weight. Different challenges. Even when BJ was dominating LW I don't think he would have cracked the top 5 at WW and that is a weight BJ has not only fought at but held the belt at.

Yea, you guys can have the conversation. I'd prefer not to. Only because I can only have the same conversation 99 times, I lose interest after that.

Difference between LHW and HW is 60 pounds. Huge difference. Also, BJ Penn is a chubby 170 who has no cardio. GSP would be a muscly 185 who could fight for 10 rounds. |

GSP's optimum fighting weight is WW. It is obviously going to be more challenging to fight at a higher weight. It is harder to hold down the bigger, stronger guys. Can't believe I'm being suckered into this again. Let's just agree to disagree and move on.
