Margarito PPV bombs - LOL

• Margarito's reputation may be permanently damaged, even in the eyes of typically loyal Hispanic fight fans, if his recent pay-per-view numbers are any indication. They didn't show much interest in his May 8 ring return against Robert Garcia, which followed a 16-month layoff after his license revocation for trying to wear loaded gloves. I was told by somebody who would know that the Top Rank "Latin Fury" card Margarito headlined did around 12,000 to 15,000 buys, which is pathetic, even when you consider it wasn't on the primary pay-per-view channel that night because of a UFC event.

12-15000 hmmm how low can it get..margo needs to keep active against anyone..hes not saleable at this point for sure.he somehow needs to regain respect from boxing fans..is it possible.yes.difficult..a big yes.

Why doesn't boxing do what the UFC does and put multiple name fighters and draws on single cards?

Arum targets the latinos with these PPVs, puts on a bunch of fan friendly fights involving Mexicanos - why they're called Latin Fury

Normally they do well, but Arum's wrong when he thought he still had a US draw in the cheating Margarito

sometimes they do..the undercard usualy has some good name fighters..with ppv its difficult to have several draws not just names on the card cause all would want a piece of that action since there draws also so to speak..ufc can control the monies cause they control the fighters..in boxing thats not the case..especialy geeting several promoters involved...the main event is the one that gets the ppv buys.

Promoters are too tight to do that these days. HBO usually only puts up enough money for a tasty main event.

August 7th will have a good undercard if things go to plan.
