Dana "Ramage made right move doing A-Team"

"I get guys all the time -- because the UFC is getting so big - doing movies, but they're usually movies that go straight to DVD, and you wouldn't even want to watch them on DVD, but Rampage made the right decision. The A-Team is the big summer hit this year, and from what I'm hearing from the guys in Hollywood, Rampage [nailed] it. He did an awesome job. Everything worked out. He and I made up, and the fight is still happening. It's definitely not a bad thing, but I don't know how many people will actually be going to see The A-Team movie knowing that Rampage Jackson is a UFC fighter. I don't know. We'll have to see how it works out."

Dana stomped his feet because he wanted that fight "NOW, NOW NOW!"
But since everything worked out and Dana is still going to make his money off it, it's all good now. Funny how things change.

Seems kinda suckup ish to me. Rampage is still running his mouth about the ufc and now Dana says Page did the right thing in dropping out of a fight and fucking a whole card up?

Defiantly suck uping. More celebrity for Rampage = more non fight fan interest = nothing but good things for UFC's involvement with Rampage. That combined with Rampage's perpetual unhappiness for the UFC as of late.

of coarse is was the right move for Page. It was obvious from the beginning that the movie was going to be big, Page had a marquee role in it, and the cast was to be filled with quality actors.

Page def screwed that card over, and I can see why Dana would have been pissed about it, but from page's perspective not taking that role would have been a HUGE mistake. This role surely leads him to other roles.

I agree that Dana is kissing Page's ass. Rampage sells a lot of PPVs when he is winning fights and his head is in the game. The UFC need him maybe more than they realized.

Maybe Dana likes how the movie trailers are playing at the same time Rampage is going to fight?

Im sure he also realizes the very real possibility of Page jumping to sf to go fight Mo, Gegard etc. getting into a squabble just prior to the end of page's contract was not in the ufc's best interest.

Anyway ya, after Rashad flattens Rampage and hands him his first UFC KO then I wonder if Dana will have wished he didn't give his seal of approval to fighters to walk out on super fights whenever they want to remake some cheesy 80's nostalgia property. Yo who the fuck watched the A-team anyway?

When Rampage pulled out orginally Dana was trashing him hardcore, now that he sees them movie is legit and Rampage can leave the fighting world behind with a role like this and more then likely subsequent sequels and more exposure then he gets in the UFC Dana is realizing that even out of the ring he can make some cash with him, got like how he can change his tune and he thinks nothing of it. You could see by the actors they were getting that the A Team was going to be big.

Nice post, may not be a great movie, but it sure will sell

I said a while ago, Page will have the most successful acting career among current MMA stars, this movie will do 100mill+
