Agreed. Pull JDS, let Barnett and Cormier fight, then have JDS vs either of them on UFC on Fox in I think beginning of August. Then Cain vs. Mir headline 146, bring in another heavyweight fight if they want to keep it an all HW ppv, then move everyone else up a slot.

Only thing I see negative about that option is that layoff isnt fair to JDS, because of Reems bullshit.

I expect Mir to get the shot though, unfortunately.

We will all be fed Mir vs JDS, but it will all play out. BTW....Where in the hell is Carwin? It seems like he should have a fight lined up by now. Dude had surgery 6ish months ago? He would be a good extra HW to add in a fight against some other decent name in a comeback fight for this card to make up for the shitty title fight, in JDS vs Mir.

I dont think we will see Carwin again. He had neck or back surgery (dont remember which) and he isnt getting any younger. Would love to have had him on that card though. He could make things so much easier. I wish Duffee had been active recently cause I would like to see him back in the UFC. Could have helped things alot too.

Carwin getting the shot over Mir would be absolutely ridiculous. The guy just got done being pummeled into hamburger by the guy he'd be rematching.

Oh... Well you might be right about that now. I doubt he ever makes his way back. He's lost alot of time and he's 37 now. With his back being an issue it's a very real possibility he retires before he fucks his body up more than it already is. He already had a good job with that engineering degree before entering fighting full time anyway so I don't think he's necessarily stuck fighting like Dan Severn or Don Frye are by any means.

I for one would love to see JDS knock Overeems chin into fifth orbit, and prove that steroids mean nothing.

I say let them fight, and win or lose Overeem is released from the UFC following that fight.

The result of the fight would provide absolutely no proof of roids meaning nothing. It would only tell us that even on roids he couldn't beat JDS. But if you seriously think roids mean nothing, you aren't paying attention. If they didn't do anything, they wouldn't take them. Simple as that. These millionaire athletes wouldn't risk their future if this shit didn't work. It has been around long enough, athletes are still taking them and doing everything possible to get away with it for a reason. It absolutely is performance enhancing. That's not even up for debate.
