Dana wants BJ to main event UFC Hawaii card

We're still working on that, but we want to do it. I was kind of hoping to go to Hawaii again and do a B.J. (Penn) fight at the Aloha Bowl, but B.J. wants to take some time off. He's going to relax for a while. We're coming regardless, but that was the fight I really wanted to do there."

Maybe he can get a Diaz or Fitch rematch? Might help motivate BJ.

They have to have BJ headline the Hawaii card, but who will he face??

Jon Fitch makes a ton of sense to me. They fought to a draw, both fighters coming off losses. Has the name power for a main event.

I like Gilbert also. Mayhem will be on this card cause he is popular over there.

Why? He beat Fitch 2 out of 3 rounds and Diaz 1 out of 3. So he has won 3 rounds and lost 3 rounds in his most recent fights vs top level WW. Sure looks like he had the skill to win both fights. He has expressed interest in both rematches before.

I don't believe he has the dedication and cardio to hold up while undersized against the best in the division. He came out with a nice gameplan that took Fitch totally by surprise but if they rematched, if BJ didn't hurt him early he would likely be in for a very long night

Fighting in Hawaii might give him some extra pep in his step. That crowd would be behind BJ, he might just come in and rip Fitch's head right off. Motivated BJ Penn has no limit. Chuck Norris has nightmares about motivated BJ Penn. Japan has missiles pointed at Hawaii right now just in case motivated BJ Penn starts his rampage.

He needs to fight Josh Koscheck. He's a big name, someone stuck in limbo, and someone who has the ability to put on a show (and some real snoozers too)

Feeding Hardy to BJ in Hawaii on some FX card sounds about right to me. Would be a nice last memory of BJ. Straight raping Hardy in Hawaii and running into the crowd like Aldo.

Well that was the most damage he has ever taken in his MMA career. How can you say emotion wasn't a factor? In the cage, post fight, emotion is always a factor. They are only human.

BJ can be as good as BJ wants to be, his problem is motivation.

Penn was broken and battered, physically and mentally. Again, it was an experience he has never had in his entire career. He was clearly still in the post fight emotional slump.
