Dynamite response GDP. I can see why they elected to make you a moderator seeing as you arent one that would post something completely useless. Wow again. Am I on some kind of clock?
Stay classy and keep thinking I should quit posting because I think Anderson would beat Jacare. I said you should quit posting?
I also said i would pick Anderson Silva if they were to fight, so quit acting like i'm trying to bully you because you think Silva would win. I just think you have slim to no knowledge of Jacare and i think each of your posts proves that. I've only seen his Dream and SF fights, I think I know enough about him to pick Silva with confidence based on what I've seen there.

| I think Jacare has developed a lot more since Japan. Back then he displayed almost no ability to stand with his opponents. He beat Lindland, probably the highest level grappler he has faced in Strikeforce and tapped him out in about 2 minutes. That's more of a statement to me than not tapping Joey Villasenor or Tim Kennedy who he was more than happy to bang with and he looked good doing it. In the case of Kennedy, he could not take Kennedy down but thats understandable.
Jacare might be so stoked about his new found striking prowess that he wants to stand a lot more. He would not be the first MMA fighter to want to show off. Hell, King Mo is a guy who should always be wrestling until somebody proves he can't always wrestle but he can knock people out as well, so he keeps doing it. Jacare has been sparring with Anderson Silva and has been rapidly improving his striking. I think he could beat most of the best middleweights in the world WITHOUT his BJJ. I don't think he could beat Anderson without his BJJ but unlike the other guys who had better BJJ than Anderson. He has the ability to strike to set up a takedown, and the takedown ability to get the fight where he wants it.
That's all i'm saying. I'm not saying Jacare would beat Anderson Silva. I think Anderson is the best fighter in the world but he is beatable and i think Jacare would make for a very interesting fight.
The only things i don't like about Jacare is his chin and his tank. Obviously the chin is a huge weakness to have going in against Anderson but i think Jacare has MMA covered. I don't see any real holes in his game, and the things that are just good seem to be improving at a rapid pace

| I was not trying to insult you man. We've always been cool. I just typed out a big essay and you replied with "Wow". My initial thought was that my post was not worth a decent response and i was not going to get one. You did give a full response after i posted that, so i'm sorry for that post. I thought you were being a last word without challenging my post type of guy but i was wrong. | |

I don't rule out the possibility of Kennedy taking Silva down and grinding away ala Chael Sonnen, and Kennedy has not shown to be as prone to being submitted either. Let's not forget that Sonnen was just some guy making the transition from WEC to UFC not that long ago.

- Silva gets no respect sometimes because he's hated, I hate him. He actually deserves respect though. Jacare would get lumped up against a healthy Silva. He wouldn't be the first high level Black Belt to lose to him either. Silva is in his prime. Jacare isn't fully developed yet. Everyone's favorite overrated fighter KO'd him, but a p4p king KO artist won't now?
But is Silva is his prime? In his mid 30's, got dropped by Chael Sonnen of all people, didn't look great vs Maia. Another big question is, did Chael expose a glaring hole in Silva's game? Cause it's not like Sonnen has fought a whose who of freestyle wrestlers. And if so could Jacare also exploit that hole? As far as Gegard KO'ing Jacare, it was an upkick, a fairly freakish occurence, and certainly not indicative of Jacare's stand-up skills.
