| Machida is a bad matchup for Rampage but I think Rampage can beat him with good standup and good take down defense. Machida much like Brock hasnt been hit with a huge shot that has made him face adversity yet. If Rampage lands a huge shot it would be very interesting to see how Machida would react. Same as if Carwin lands a huge 1 against brock. What do u think about shoguns chances? | |

| Rampage would never ever land one solid on any Machida that has fought in the Octagon. Page's striking has several flaws;
1. It is one dimensional - all he does is walk forward and try to counter punch. He doesn't have a huge arsenal of weapons to mix it up with.
2. His striking training at a high level is only a few years old. Machida has been at this for many many. His footwork is amateur compared to Machida.
3. He telegraphs his punches too much. Machida will be three feet away from anything he throws.
However, if he did land something, I don't think one shot could bring Machida down. Soko did land a decent shot and Machida didn't even react.

| Personally I think Machida will beat Rampage but its definitely not another Machida vs rashad fight. Rampage will stick and move good enough to make Machida work for it. Also Rampage is good in the clinche with his slams also. if he can land a huge slam on Machida that would be awesome too. | |

| He'd beat Page easier than Rashad unless of course Rampage's durability just leads to him taking more damage for an extended period of time. | |

| Rampage has slower hands than Evans and significantly less weapons to choose from. Rampage is about body movement, rolling and countering. That's all he does.
And lets face it guys, his coaches are the same ones that sent Michael Bisping into the ring against Dan Henderson. Not exactly Mayweather Sr.

| Ruling out Couture because I don't see him getting another title shot at HW and he definitely won't win the LHW title.
Ruling out Chuck, Forrest, Franklin, and Evans because they have no chance at Machida (or Silva). I give Rampage only a very small chance.
Nog and Mir were interim champs so if that counts, they have a decent chance of becoming HW champ.
So my answer is... The Phenom Vitor Belfort! lol

| Vitor was never really even the champ in my eyes. He only ever beat Randy on a freak accident. FYI Mir was also HW champ once long ago and Nog was the undisputed MMA HW champ and then the Pride HW champ, and that counts even without him winning the UFC title. | |

oops, forgot about Mir's first title win lol even though it sucked, officially Vitor was the champ and I think if he can destroy Franklin he'll have a good shot at beating Anderson

- Dan Henderson is the only former UFC/Pride champ/tournament winner who has a chance. Maybe Sean Sherk.
Unless Machida gets injured, Page, Shad and Forrest's runs are over. I think Rampage will hold the belt again.
