| Let us hope this is the last time a guy who can't fight for shit gets thought of as unbeatable. This has been such an embarrassment to MMA. | |

| True. People will find out that Cain isn't unbeatable and that he's been fed scrubs to pad up his record. |

| I can't wait for Brock to get beat this weekend. I'm hoping Cain brings Myth Busters in his corner, would be EPIC. | |

Even if Cain beats Lesnar, which he certainly can, lets not pretend that Lesnar is a hype job. The guy has beaten Herring, Couture, Mir and an unbeaten Carwin. Is he the best fighter we've seen? No, far from it. But stop with the nonsense that he doesn't belong already. Youve been saying that since the fight against Couture was announced. What will be your opinion if he beats Cain?

| That JDS is clearly going to expose Brock standing and Lesnar won't be able to take him down since his wrestling is so overrated | |

Wolf will never change his opinion, Jimbo. It kills him and many others that a guy can come into a sport like this and dominate with 1/3 the skillset of other fighters simply because he's so much bigger and stronger than most of the class and can use his wrestling to be the proverbial bear mauling smaller fighters. The rest of us know that it could never happen in any other weight class and accept it for what it is... But guys like Wolf will continue to lose sleep worrying about how it makes the sport look... BTW - If memory serves, you're an attorney. What type of law do you practice?... It's starting to sound like our friend Wolf might need some legal advice... lol

I do general liability defense work... But, youre right about your post. While Lesnar may not be the most skilled, he is very effective.

On a Monday morning you can't be too picky. What is up with you being a snob all the sudden? Many people on the work days use this site to BS along with getting information. You have something engaging to talk about I'm sure you can get a decent conversation going.

| Excuse me. I'm not a big fan of meaningless trash talk threads, if there was a good place for them, that would be great. Most forums have a section for these things. | |

You're excused. Not all threads are going to be winners and on a Monday morning you are very rarely going to find much more then that. Especially during football season. You know the demographic here, you know what to expect.

| Yeah, expectations are wacky sometimes. There has been to much hype for this fight but not all it is the kind that interest me. I looking forward to a good fight. regardless of what UFC wants to say, if you peg a month Brocktober, you align your self to WWE promoting. | |

Yeah I hear you. IMO the UFC is trying to squeeze Brock for all they can right now. He isn't exactly young and he could fall at anytime. Brock is a cash cow right now and the UFC is just milking it.

| Milk it in what way? Are they laying the hype a bit thick? Sure. But it is the HW division, he is the champ, and he is taking on all comers. People like to see big guys go and he's about as polarizing a figure as you could have for a champ. People love or hate the guy and every fight will be uber-hyped. But even when it was Sylvia and Arlovski, the HW fights were always hyped as much as possible... They just had a little less fuel because of the actors in the show.
Actually, I'm a bit disappointed at the attempted hype towards the other party. What the hell is this first Mexican champ stuff? Is that really what it takes to move the needle in a fight with Brock? That one makes me give a big WOW... Why not point to his tattoo at the beginning of the commercial and build from there...lol

They are putting his face up everywhere letting you know Lesnar is about to fight. Not because he is the greatest HW in the world but because he is the biggest PPV draw in MMA. They are milking it in every way they can. They know damn well Brock is very beatable and his worth right now is higher then it will ever be. There isn't a single fighter in the UFC that they promote more then they promote Brock right now.

There isn't a single fighter in the UFC that they promote more then they promote Brock right now. True... When the HW belt was changing hands every fight, they didn't really have a "champ" to use as their face and had to promote guys like GSP, Anderson and BJ (Since the LHW belt was also constantly on the move). But there's a unique draw to HW's that goes back to boxing. Org's are always looking for a marketable HW to use as their face. The UFC has found theirs. And again, if he had the personality of Vitali Klitschko they would be forced to look towards other guys. Gotta have the right guy in the right class to promote as hard as they are. It's why Dana brought him in... The mere possibility that he could become the face was too much to pass up no matter how much shit he caught from the die hard fans. Second smartest business move he's ever made IMO.

| Yeah I get that whole fascination with the HWs, typically Americans want to see big strong guys with tons of power dominating. I also agree Brock has a marketable personality, he is a polarizing guy. I understand WHY they are doing it. | |
