Seems to be nothing more then casual conversation at this point. I don't expect to to happen soon if at all.

With Penn out of the way, I think the matchup looks a bit more appealing for Harris.

Now is it something that the UFC wants to risk? I dunno.

Still don't see a merger coming anytime soon.

Merger is unavoidable. I am surprised it's not already formally announced.

Merger yes, Unification, no, Edgar or Gray will tool Bendo or Pettis, though I think Pettis wins that Title.

I'd be in favor of a unification. The WEC LW's are good and it's an easy PPV to make.

Good sure, but as good? Condit didn't get any Unification bout and he was a more impressive fighter in his division.

Ya but we could counter with Chael(unresolved roid accusations aside) and also the fact that WEC WW's have all proven to be garbage. Brock Larson, Carlo Pater, and a Japanese fighter you'd have to wiki to even remember his name. Beyond that the LW division in the WEC has had like two years to develop since then. Carlos Condit was champion when Razor Rob was champion. Nuff Said.

But we still need to see the WEC LWs tested not among themselves, i.e. Bendo, Cerrone and Varner pretty much, Pettis is the new guy. Chael worked his way up a lot to get a Title shot, didn't he lose to Maia in his first UFC fight?

"Workin way up" oh whatever, the WEC guy would be a marketable top ten guy. That is all the UFC needs.
