Was told that the Victor Ortiz-Lamont Peterson fight terms have been agreed to, although not signed.

Thats the fight where I sort of turned on Ortiz. Ortiz hurt nate a few times, but was too scared to finish him. Had ortiz had a pair that night, he could have knocked out Nate. The kid has talent, but he seems scared to showcase it. I think Lamont will be succesful against ortiz, especially if he forces him to fight in the inside. I doubt he can take Ortizes shots though, Victor probably knocks him out in the mid-rounds.
Maidana beat Ortiz up physically and mentally. I wouldn't say that Maidana beat Ortiz physically...i do however, agree that mentally he hasn't been the same. IMO, Ortiz will not become a great fighter until he over comes the mental side of the loss to Maidana....so far he hasn't (as you pointed out in the Campbell fight)

Ortiz got a concussion off that fight. I would say he got beat up pretty bad physically, it would have been worse had he not quit.

+1 All of his opponents after Maidana have done nothing to address this Faded Tony Diaz got smashed, some can stood no shot, Campbell was in over his head and Ortiz just cruised to a UD, and Vivian Harris' corpse
