An undisclosed injury has forced former World Extreme Cagefighting bantamweight champion Brian Bowles (8-1 MMA, 5-1 WEC) out of his WEC 52 bout with Wagnney Fabiano (14-2 MMA, 4-1 WEC), and a search is underway for a replacement.

Chute Boxe standout and Brazilian light heavyweight Alexandre "Cacareco" Ferreira (18-6 MMA, 0-0 UFC) has signed a multi-fight deal with the UFC and is expected to make his debut against Vladimir Matyushenko (24-5 MMA, 5-3 UFC) at UFC 122.

The UFC newcomer replaces an injured Jason Brilz, who recently suffered a back injury, sources close to the fighter today told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com).

Probably that hand injury. He broke his hand on Miguel's face and has never been the same since.

Check Ferrairas comp, super iffy. And he's pretty short, stocky, but short.

Sucks about brilz i was looking forward to seeing him fight again.
