| Brock is ready to go now and wants to fight. Carwin makes the most sense. He’s 11-0, and he’s been kicking the [expletive] out of everybody. [Gabriel] Gonzaga destroyed [Mirko] Cro Cop and he [Carwin] totally destroyed Gonzaga. Plus, he hates Brock Lesnar.” “He hates Brock Lesnar. It’s going to be two huge guys going at it. He’s got the power to knock anybody out and he’s got great wrestling too. He’s one of the guys that has the size to match up with Brock, too. This is one of those fights that could be wild. Someone’s going to get their head knocked off.” - Dana White Scott Coker recent interview(joke) "Fedor is ready to go and wants to fight. Werdum makes the most sense. He has the jitz to tap the shit out of everybody. Has faced nothing but top competition his entire career. Gabriel Gonzaga destoyed Mirko CroCop and Fabricio Werdum kicked his ass not once but twice...plus, he's willing to fight anybody, including Fedor very soon" I like(as in hate) the double standard here. Carwin pretty much has not beat anybody yet this is the the ultimate challenger to the 4-1 dominator in the "best fighters in the world" division, and people accept that for Brock. What if Carwin was in Strikeforce with his 11-0 record and the same lone credible win as he has now and he was the next challener to Fedor? People would shit all over it saying this can has no chance and Fedor is ducking the best challengers in UFC like the 4-1 one man dynasty and Frank...of course if any other heavyweight in UFC came into Strikeforce with the same record and accomplishments as they have now, they will be immediatley dismissed as cans and "out of UFC for a reason". This goes for Mir, Couture, and Nog as well. It does not matter the circumstances they left UFC under, they are not in UFC anymore and are cans. I know you are probably wondering why i thought of this when Dana was talking about Carwin vs. Brock. I just think his hype over Carwin's win over Gonzaga shows how poor that division really is. I would pick the 3 challengers to Fedor to kick Gonzaga(WHO DESTROYED MIRKO CROCOP BY THE WAY) ass. One has already proved it, twice and this is the guy that is considered the weakest of the potential challengers to Fedor. Overeem would beat him. Carwin did not do anything against Gonzaga that Rogers could not do. This is enough for people not to complain that Brock is not fighting the best in the world, a win vs. Gonzaga and the fact that this guy is a big wrestler dude with abnormal sized hands as well. Yet, Fedor is fighting nothing but cans and Werdum's two victories against Gonzaga don't count for shit simply because he got caught by a guy he probably taps 9 times out of 10 and the fact that he fights under a brand that is not the UFC. This same "This guy beat that guy" talk does not work for Fedor's oppenents, but work for Brock's. ..and no, im not saying Strikeforce has a better division than UFC, im just once again pointing out the false perception that UFC has some kind of can't miss HW division that is once again getting far more praise than it should like it did in the day the divison was ruled by that one guy Fedor was too afraid to fight when he was taking on the pussies in Pride.... | |

| Ya. The UFC's HW division has long been criticized and has only, like literally within the last 100 days began to be perceived as a division with talent. It's all a bunch of prospects.
The UFC was smart in signing a bunch of marketable young guys who they could build into contenders. Carwin, Dos Santos, Valesquez, and Lesnar. The UFC also got tremendously lucky that Nog was able to be strong armed into fighting when he should have been in the fucking hospital so Frank Mir's value could be over-stated.
However, the UFC has quietly added a lot of top talent like Rothwell and Nelson to bolster the division.

He isnt some young guy getting his only shot he is a proven vet. He could have turned the fight down but he chose to fight and Mir fucked him up and would probably do the same 9 out of 10 times.

Stop being a retard. He had a debilitating staph infection and a blown knee. That win should literally be vacated. Paper tiger = Mir.

(nevermind you'd actually had to have watched Pride) Everybody u argue with u say the same shit u would have had to watched pride. Like it or not u aint the only fuckin person to watch pride. Nog has looked shitty sense joining the UFC and next week Nog will lose again to Randy. If u dont think he has looked terrible sense joining UFC then u need to watch more fights or something lol.

| He utterly tooled Herring outside of the one kick. Out struck him, backed him up, took him down at will.
Sylvia rocked him with a good combination true, but Tim was in that fight for a reason and that fight was not significantly different from many of his Pride fights where he weathered an early storm and then came back strong to win by submission.
