| I want Belfort to win but Im leaning towards Ace in a great fight. I think there will be a ton of back and fourth action and I dont think it reaches the scorecards either way. | |

| I think Rich has the feet and leg kicks to keep Vitor at bay and wear him down, frustrate him, and eventually break his will. I'm calling a 3rd round finish by Rich or a Rich UD.
It is a win-win situation for me. If Rich wins I get to see one of my favs win. If Belfort wins then we may just have a new opponent for Anderson at 185.

| I would like to see Belfort continue his reclamation to glory, but I don't see how he cn beat Franklin. "Ace" would be a man among boys if it weren't for the Spider. But either way it will probably be a good fight. | |

| Vitor by KO, 2nd round.
Really with the main event of this card was a title fight but I know scheduling has pretty much fucked that up. Great card altogether, though. Have I mentioned that I will see it live???

| What an amazing punch by GSP in Elite's av, he feints a right hand super man punch, which itself is a feinted kick only to land the lead hand jab. I can only land that on my seven year old. | |

| I'll call that bet assuming Wolf is just slick enough to dupe a 7 year old 1 of 5 times with the infamous "Your shoe is untied"...
You know, I thought acting like Wolf for a second would be fun... After doing it a few times, I don't get the appeal?...

| Belfort because he's better at every aspect of the game and seems focused. No question Belfort has the better hands and ground game. I really don't see anyway that Franklin wins this. | |

| That was my line of thinking too Combat. I was surprised when Franklin was such a big favorite. He's a stand-up fighter but I think Vitor has way better hands. I don't think Franklin makes it to the final bell | |

Yeah especially the way Vitors hands have looked recently. When he's been on he's always had some of the best hands in the game. It just depended on what Vitor you got that night. Now that he seems to be over his sister's tragedy and training at XC he looks fucking amazing too me. I guess some people just aren't sold on him yet and thats understandable but I am.

| Ya they said the same thing in the Couture fight way back when didn't they?
If Belfort doesn't crush him fast he doesn't have a chance. Statistically, almost none. If you look at his resume, the number of post round 1 KO's, TKOs, submissions, and decisions of top fighters is exactly 2. Those wins were over Yvel and Herring in Pride events in 2000-01, both by decision. Good wins but not over world beaters. He's never stopped a top fighter outside of the first round, ever and outside of those decisions he's never beaten a top fighter on the scorecards. And in fact, your chances of beating Belfort jump significantly past the 2 minute mark in the fight. One half of his wins and one third of all his fights end before 2:00 into the fight. He has only won four fights that went 9 minutes or longer, and all his losses happen after 9 minutes, except Couture's first beating, which took eight minutes and sixteen seconds.
This reminds me of the Randy vs Page debate on ESPN where everyone was like "Page left hook r2" when Page has exactly zero KO's past the first round over any top fighters save Liddell's towel toss.
Bottom line, if Franklin is still alive and well at the start of the second round, Belfort has absolutely no chance.
Like I said, first round Belfort KO or lopsided Franklin UD. And the odds are stacked against Vitor here here. While Franklin lost to Anderson Silva ugly and early, Vitor Belfort is no Anderson Silva and his 90 seconds worth of head-down run-forward lighting-fist isn't going to fell a crafty and smart striker like Franklin.

Blasting an aging law and fighting tentatively and competitively for two rounds with a guy Scott Smith KO'd into oblivion as soon as they touched gloves isn't as impressive at it looks really. The Law hasn't looked good since 06 and Martin has already been KO'd by accomplished murderer's row of championship strikers like Chris Leben, Jason Lambert, and James Irvin. Belfort looked scared of Martin's power in that fight. I didn't even have him winning by much if at all until he KO'd him. Combat you really missed the boat on this one.

| Look at my breakdown, if Vitor wins in any other way besides a first round KO it would be like Quinton Jackson winning by gogoplata.
Combat, av bet. Let's bet the fucking farm. First, I've been meaning to remember to back off my bet on the Mayweather fight, as it was made before UFC 103 was announced for the same day and the press decided to assassinate what should have been an epic come back fight. I am not betting on an event I won't even order. Second, we never bet on UFC 100 ever. Had only one bet between us in history.
Third, put yo money where yo mouf is.
Here is the bet - Let's bet the spread; Franklin wins I win, I win, Belfort wins any other way than KO inside five minutes and you win. What up sucka?

| The last time we argued a fight like this it was you saying "I really don't see anyway that GSP wins this" word for fucking word.
You sure you wanna take my bet at all? It's cool if you don't, I understand...

| Also, there is little evidence that Belfort has a significant advantage on the ground. He's never shown upper level wrestling and while his BJJ pedigree is always played up, who has he submitted? Bobby Southworth a career journeyman and somebody named Joe Charles back in the ancient days before niggaz even knew BJJ at all.
How many times has Franklin been sub'd? None.
